How To Fix AFK Status?

hello. here recently, in the middle of a play session, i was suddenly no longer able to go auto-AFK. my setting is at 5minutes, and to auto enable the idle camera.

now... i have tried toggling the setting... setting it to off and exiting the game to ensure it is properly saved to the profile, and the same thing to turn it back on. i even tried deleting the settings profile.

so, i can't go auto-AFK anymore. i also can't remain in the AFK state when manually using /afk. after trying to AFK it will revert back to Online in a few seconds. i have tried disconnecting the keyboard and even a different controller.


how to fix? anyone?

maybe you need to set the deadspot on your controller?

not the fix you want but if you type /icam it'll see your status to idle so ppl will know that you're not available at the moment and it'll keep changing the screen image for you like a funny screensaver
and when u come back you can press ESC to get away from it

none of that really helps. i play on the PlayStation, so can't set any deadspot. however, the issue persists even with a brand new controller i was saving. only thing i could have thought of was the controller, because it is quite old and worn.

i like using the AFK, because it slows down the system because it reduces the FPS. so this like almost idles the system. is good for less power consumption and less heat generation while waiting for a Duty or something.


i have no clue what could have happened. it just mysteriously happened right while playing the game. i put in a bug report, but was moved to insufficient information. i don't know how much more info can be given other than the fact that AFK is broken. and don't have any debugger tools to use to supply more information, or know of anyway to troubleshoot it.

okay... well, i don't what changed but is fixed now. all that happened is i accidentally unplugged the PS4 from the back. and yes, i do normally shut down the PS4... so, i don't what the problem was. it went away as mysteriously as it came. welp, thank you for the posts and such everyone!
