We aren't saying make the mount $2. Note as well the mount is account wide, so it'd be expected to be higher in price.

The OUTFIT on the other hand costs only $6 less, and is for 1 character. That's where people are getting iffy. What people are saying is either make the price lower, since honestly an outfit for 1 character shouldn't cost more than 1 month of sub, or make it account wide, so all the characters get to see it.

Easily, they could have had two versions. $9 for a single character, $18 for account wide, and the sales would arguably be higher. Anyone who had an alt would be more likely to buy the $18 one where they might not have in the first place at single character limits.

Considering how insanely popular the Eastern Togi was, they really have little incentive to lower prices. Bear in mind, it remained the most popular item on the Mogstation for months, beating even Fantasias. I hazard a guess they would make decidedly less selling it half off for a single character or at its current price for an account wide version. Hence why they don't.

Furthermore, these Chinese Exclusives are handled by a third party company who likely also has influence on pricing given how the Chinese market operates. Personally, I'm only interested in the mount, though I may wait for a sale.

Because some people have more disposable income than you and choose to spend it on luxury things they enjoy, that somehow makes them unreasonable and stupid? Criticism is one thing, but now we're stepping over the line. It also seems as though you are making the incorrect assumption these items would all be in the game for free if "idiots stopped buying things!" If no one bought these Micro-transaction, they just wouldn't make the items to begin with.

It's called budgeting, and waiting for a sale. Those items aren't going anywhere anytime soon, they aren't a limited time offer. It would be ideal if items were added in game(hell, even throw out a mini-event that lasts a weekend), but SE is a business, and will do what a business does best - make money.

Which cash shop item costs $100? Most expensive item on there is a 5-pack of Fantasia ($45 USD).

None of these prices are anything new. People act like $18 USD for an exclusive outfit or $24 USD for an account-wide mount is some new kind of inflation on SE's part, but those prices have been a thing since the Far Eastern outfits (September 2016) and Slepnir (Fall 2014).

People seem to forget these items (Chinese and Korean exclusives) were not free in their respective countries. To ask for them for free is probably one of the many definitions of entitlement. I won't argue that the prices couldn't stand to maybe be a little lower, but gross exaggerations of how "any normal person" can't afford them are, well, exaggerations; and exaggerations will not help your argument (among other things, such as calling people "idiots" or "whales").

If you cannot afford an $18 USD item for a one-time purchase, how are you affording a recurring monthly subscription, which isn't that far off for even the cheapest price ($13 USD for Entry)?
