My feeling, if Yoshi-P is really keeping this under his hat, is that they might introduce geomancer as job you can get if you have completed AST to 70, as that would be the only logical thing as there are no (real) geomancers other than Kyokuho, and the next dungeon being introduced IS the geomancer temple. So unless they have put some parallel lore in for discovering the geomancer job stone (which is basically how WHM and BLM worked too) it would probably get way too awkward to fit back into the existing lore.

That said, it's also possible to play HW and SB without having leveled lancer/dragoon and thus there is an entire backstory to HW that begins in the dragoon job quest. So it wouldn't be beneath Yoshi-P to just put the geomancer job in the game, use Kyokuho for the job quests, and only side-reference his AST adventure, since it looks like the Geomancer temple is a new dungeon (but was it indicated as being a MSQ dungeon?)

Also, it needs to be pointed out that Geomancer doesn't necessarily have to be a healer. Pretty much every single-player mission which has a NPC companion has white magic spells, even ones that we no longer have as WHM.
