Should "Ingenuity" leves come back for future levequests?

For those who do crafting levequests, should "ingenuity" leves come back in future expansions?

    Edit for clarification:

Ingenuity leves are the ones where the leve person and the item recipients are in different locations. The gil and exp reward is quite high. This leve type was not seen in Heavensward and Stormblood.

However, the other two tradecraft leve types of Charity (Triple turn-in) and Constancy (Single turn-in) still remain to this day.

I would love for them to revamp the leve system entirely.

They should bring back battle leves but as group play, like spawning an NM type mob and fighting it but only if you meet certain criteria within the leve system itself.
Make the gathering/crafting leves more involved and actually make you interact with different NPCs depending on what they need. I remember in 1.0 they even gave you the materials

I would go into more detail but its late, I will edit in the AM at some point!

You basically just described the ixal and moogle beast tribe quests.

The Beastman tribe quests ARE the current levequests.

That said, Levequests were a key feature of V1.0 and all kinds of elaborate lore and artwork went into it. It's just not fun to repeat. Other games have repeatables/dailies that can be done infinitely, (and hence are RMT bait), that's why they exist.

I would like to see them re-visit some V1.0 stuff that was actually lore-relevant, re-introduce a few of the open-world style dungeons that you have to explore, not simply defeat a boss to complete. Like there was all this Gelmorra stuff in V1.0 that appears to have simply vanished, along with entire parts of the Black Shroud and the Mor Dhona/Lake Silvertear area. Like the V1.0 opening placed an emphasis on levequests, and all that imagery was excised in the V2.0 OP, along with it's relevance.

Lore-wise, it would make sense that the combat levequests aren't available in Doma or Ala Mhigo because those were under imperial control when you start, and Kugane is neutral. That however glosses over the Azim Steppe.

So really the way to put those back in would be to either introduce a new GC for the Eastern region, and expand the existing three GC's into Ala Mhigo by having them create their own offices there, since technically they went from being occupied by the Imperials under duress to being peacefully occupied by the Eorzean GC's.

At any rate the Beastman tribes fill this void.

Battle leve's need a major rework.

They removed them in SB because they weren't "popular enough" and worth development time. I wondered about this until, while leveling recently, I tried out a few. A lv54 leve (which requires teleporting to a different region) gave me about 16500 exp, where I needed about 1.7m to level. This means that a full leve allowance of 100 would not be enough for a single level.

A big problem with FF14 is that dungeons and palace of the dead give far better exp than other sources, thus you get funneled into only doing this content. There's no reason not to put other content on a similar level so that you can pick and choose. A few changes I'd like to see with a return of battle leve's:

    -Exp increased
-Armory bonus applied for alt characters, similar to Fates
-Beckon leve's removed, seriously screw these.
-Add a little back story, like several of the leve's link together and unlock a quest leve

"Beckon" leve's are escort missions. Nobody likes escort missions because the thing/person/animal you escort tends to be made of tissue paper. There is a right way to do escort missions, but they need to be YOU in the drivers seat, so you can either opt to do a blockade runner or fight it out and risk losing/destroying your escort cargo/VIP. Simply escorting tissue paper characters through an artificially-made-difficult area isn't that fun. This is something that is better suited to PvP games though, where parallel quests are initiated (eg faction A gets "transport cargo through faction B controlled area", faction B gets "patrol faction B controlled area from faction A insurgents") and then that means there are actual faction balance issues to contend with.

As mentioned above, the tissue paper part isn't the issue, it's the extremely clunky mechanics where you have to switch targets between npc and enemy, spam beckon constantly at melee range, they only run a short distance and the npc completely ignores you if they're already moving.

It could be bearable if the npc simply followed you automatically or ran ahead on a set path, like with escort Fates, but the whole "Beckon" thing is tedious.

They broke escort leves because they way were too easy long, long ago. The NPC used to move at normal running speed, meaning you could run and beckon every 3 seconds or so, and complete the leve easily without worrying about enemies. They made the NPC move at walk speed, which made the leves no longer worth doing at all (the unlock leves weren't changed, ex the one that goes with "Leves of Camp Drybone").

The Ingenuity leves are pretty good through ARR, since the triple turn ins normally require 3 of an item on each turn in. You end up turning in 9 high mythril armor to get 20% more exp than turning in 1 hell's kitchen. Both cost 1 leve.

Seems like the thread somewhat derailed, but still has relevant points nonetheless.
