I also said I would be in favor of an exp ring in exchange.
You're dodging my question. How would rested exp be any more detrimental to the game than PLing is currently, or Guardian Aspects on Leves? Saying, "Well, I didn't like them either!" doesn't actually explain how rested exp would harm the game innately. Your entire argument against it is based on personal wants: "I don't like," "I don't want," "it should be fair." If you want reasonable discourse, you have to explain, logically, why these added incentives are bad for the game and/or playerbase.

But, for the sake of proper discourse: rested exp does not provide an unfair advantage to the person who doesn't play as much. Why? That person doesn't play as much as you, such that even with the rested exp bonus, they're not likely to level as quickly as you without it. Moreover, rested exp doesn't improve drop rates, or magically net you a faster group. That means you, with your longer playtime, have likely made more connections with other players, and therefore, have a more solid support base for anything you may want or need to get done. Want to find a NM group? Check your friends list for the people you've grouped with. Looking for some mats to level a DoH a bit? Check out with your second LS that you got during that exp grind pt you had two weeks ago. Which says nothing for the actual experience you get (not exp, mind you, as in, learning experience) from playing more often than the one who doesn't log on as much.

For all the 'unfairness' that rested exp bonus may provide the casual player, it doesn't actually play the game for them. It only affords them a boost to close some of the gap between their position and yours. Nothing more, nothing less.

I would see, if its Walmart that had the sale, I would pick the other store. It really depends on what store I favor.
Hence why I said my hypothetical was a bit disingenuous, as there are other factors to be considered. However, all things being equal, an added incentive is an added incentive, and while you may personally have enough brand loyalty to ignore the extra money you're losing by paying more, especially in a world like today, you're very much in the minority.

    (Having said that, screw Walmart.)

Well, here is the thing, I play more than my friend though he has more 50s than me. So, if that was implemented he would have even more higher jobs. With higher jobs means more abilities, so he is even more officiant than I am. I'm a very casual leveler(that's my choice/fault I know) While, I get on and help people and do other things, he is able to get a bonus for when he gets on, levels up even faster now. The fact that one gets a bonus for being offline is detrimental. What's detrimental to me is different than the next guy. So you may not think so, but I do. As I said in my other post Guardians aspect is not a factor anymore, its all about the end exp. Also Guardians aspect can be used by everyone, not just a select few.

    1) Your focus, clearly, is not about leveling, or else you would have done it. As such, why do you care what bonuses people may or may not get for playing or not playing?
    2) Your friend is more efficient with his time spent online than you, as most people with time constraints need to be. Saying, "See, he has multiple 50s, there's no reason for bonus exp!" is a fallacious argument, as that argument was never once in question. The argument being made is bonus exp providing an extra incentive for those who may not constantly play to continue playing being good/bad for the game as a whole...which you still haven't actually proven beyond, "Well, I don't like it."
    3) If bonus exp works in any way like it does in other MMOs, the bonus accumulates the longer you're offline, so realistically, most people will only see a minor bonus threshold at best. (And it might even see less mileage, as this game revolves around the idea of doing everything on one character, whereas you can accrue rested exp on one character while playing another in other MMOs.)
    4) Bonus exp can also be used by anyone that logs out at the selected Mog house. However, unlike Guardian Aspects, in which you can only use for a select few portions of the game, bonus exp will likely be usable for any aspect of the game that allows exp gain, which is a win for anyone that ever logs out and ever levels anything.

If you play all the time, this change will not affect you in the slightest. If you don't play all the time, this change will be a bonus in convenience (less menus to go through and one less inane 'resource' to track) while adding an incentive to actually log back in after not playing for a lengthy period of time.

Ummm who's to say you'll get the max bonus exp for logging off for 2 hours as much as you would for 12 hours?

Give the system a chance before you spaz out like you are doing now. NOT everything is about the battle classes so stop shoving your flawed viewpoint down people's throats lol. Your definintely a minority here.

How can you say i'm a minority? We haven't heard the voices of all the people who play the game. Still, noone has responded to the best argument. Why should people be rewarded for not playing the game?

All we can do is hope they do a player's poll soon and include some of these hot button issues.
