    Living Dead

    Holmgang is strong because 3m cd. This allows multiple uses during the fight.

    Hallowed Ground is strong because it takes no damage. 7 minute cooldown.

    Living Dead has neither of these advantages at best.

    Living Dead has the same downsides as Holmgang (dropping to 1), but slower animation and a more stringent healing requirement, and at worst, you literally die. For at best an extra 3s invuln (not 4 seconds - WAR can sit on 1hp or a regen ticking, DRK requires healing. Waiting 10s in WD will kill your DRK).

    Living Dead and Hallowed Ground might as well have the same cooldown, as 5 minutes is still too long to have multiple effective uses in (most) fights.

    Either Living Dead needs a longer Living and Walking Dead duration, or a 3m cd.

    No, Living Dead is fine. It has its own advantages and disadvantages that makes it balanced with the other two invincibility cooldowns.

    Compared to Hallowed, it's on a 2 minute shorter cooldown which means you have more freedom deciding when to use it, and it lasts the same amount of time. The healing requirement means it's not a direct upgrade.

    Compared to Holmgang, they both require healing but Living Dead doesn't require a target, doesn't root you, and last nearly twice as long. To balance that it has a 2 minute longer cooldown.

    All 3 healers can easily get a DRK back to full HP and pretty much every use of Living Dead should be planned like the others, not used as a panic button.

    You're ignoring that Hallowed and Holmgang don't get triggered when you would die, you have to activate them earlier. So it's more like 5s Holmgang vs 9s Living Dead vs 9s Hallowed Ground.

    It's actually not the same amount of time. You have to consider at least 9 seconds of Living Dead and 10 seconds of Walking dead, that's at least 11~19 seconds of DRK being safe.

    With whm living dead is fine because you can use benediction, but if you have to heal it with sch, it is pretty big dps loss for healer.

    i love when ppl bring this scenario up. Like a DRK is really going to use the additional leeway that living dead gives you, everyone uses it right before the attack that would otherwise kill them and if it doesn't kill you then living dead was wasted cause it doesn't provide any kind of additional affect, not even knockback prevention. This is a pointless attribute to walking dead almost for anything other than attacks like ahk mourn. Tank buster is 10 seconds away let me pop my living dead now so that I can save 10 more seconds on cooldown... ayyyyyyyy lmao.

    also living dead is basically useless in random partys...

    i die at least every second time when i use that skill, because i didn't get healed.

    i also died because i got healed, wich prevented me from entering walking dead in time, and then i died when living dead was running out >.>

    and then there are healers who use bene right when my HP drops to 0, wich cancels walking dead... 11 to 19 seconds of being safe? laughable. NO healer let walking dead run for 9 seconds. AST / SCH don't really know how much they have to heal anyway to hit the requirement, when you got more damage in the meanwhile. only WHM with benediction could do it, but considering the delay of that skill...

    the main advantage of living dead is that you don't have to time it as strictly as HG, because you don't have to know exactly when the attack will hit you. that means living deads strength are multi-hit busters. but everything else..?

    That doesn't make the healer any happier. It's very bad for a healer to deal with when they need to waste GCD's just to keep someone from dying. As it stands, healers BARELY use any GCD healing as everything they do is oGCD healing.

    This is assuming you have it up. Essential Dignity has a cooldown.

    I feel like this is the biggest issue with Living dead. The skill is quite good but It's a skill that requires people other than yourself to know how to deal with. Even competent healers will sometimes forget about Living dead or complain that they need to waste DPS because of this skill. There isn't a single healer that can say they are happier with Living dead than any of the other cooldowns.

    Im thinking it would be helpful if entering into walking dead state was somehow VERY visible for rest of the party.

    i.e. not just some debuff lost on character's HP bar, but maybe large black swarm(of flyes :P) swirling around walking dead DRK

    PS: visible change of DRK's party bar - like all greyed out or something woud be nice too
