Though this isn't tested, this is what I've found from just a numbers point of view when it comes to gearing PGL:

Head: Crown of course, but if you're rich and feeling daring then Silver Tricorne with two INT IV Materia on it should be better

Body: Rainmaker's with Crit Attack+ to (possibly) make your Howling Fist Blindside/BfB combo that much stronger OR the Mercenary's Aketon that drops from the Zaharak king, what you're going for with that is the STR. You could also get the Gridanian GC Shirt if you're Gridanian.

Hands: Fingerless Raptorskin Gloves of Slaying with attack+ materia on them.

Belt: Penance is what I use, though that other belt with the orange with Enmity- or HP+ might be a good investment if you're going for endurance.

Legs: Felt Trouser with the STR/VIT Materia.

Feet: Cobalt-Plated Caligae with whatever Materia.

    Rings: Strength

Weapon: Cobalt Claws if you don't have Ifrit, Ifrit otherwise.

protip: INT it's the main choise for pgl, while str it's more easy to stack

It's not, STR is still better. But INT does still contribute to our damage, so being able to put it in head slot makes Tricorne hands down the best head piece if you're lucky with melding.

You should do better your math. int increase your auto-attack significally, on ws not sure.
blindside well, it raise crit damage based on int. you can see where this go

STR gives you more damage per auto attack than INT. Unless you have testing and numbers to back it up?

Others can do it for me, i don't use parsers.
Anyhow, after 1.20 patch notes, i did some test to myself: with full str equip my punches did 75-85ish each. After like 10 mobs (all the same family, with same level) i switched to int. With int they raised to 90-100. No very need for a parser to see i got an increment in damage.
If you looking for better numbers, someone familiar with parser can give it to you, or you can try it from yourself.

It seems that Ill have to parse it myself.

Yukikaze what was your STR and INT on the first case and what was on the second?

I prefer stacking INT over STR myself as the AA bonus I find to be comparable. INT, however, provides a bonus to Blindside.

Also might I suggest anyone testing parses explicitly state which mob they fought, their level, whether they used a stance, and how much damage they did on the same mob without the stance if they tested with stance.

It may turn out that INT effects overall damage to a greater extent with elemental fists on, but STR more so for off-stance. It would account for the conflict of some players saying STR is better while others saying INT is.
