Welcome to Miqo'te butt argument v4.2

It's probably difficult to illustrate what I meant, but I mean having the "tail" as a separate armor piece, like the "hood/visor". So you could do "armor tail on/off".

At this point, though, I'd just settle for armor that doesn't conflict with character anatomy.
I think that is where everyone is on the same page. The clipping is ridiculous for Miqo'te tails, and only looks more ridiculous on Au ra with the large tail. Yes they would need to redesign both the body and the legs of every armor to make everything fit, because most of what is being clipped through is the body gear. With the cape on gear that has one, it's visually terrible, and on mounts it's just the silliest thing.

If they can't give us butts, at least they should fix our tails!

Or at least a way to hide our tails client side. Much in the fashion you can resize bahamut. I made a post about this a couple of weeks ago because I like armor that has capes.

It was a nice feature, but I don't think it's coming back unfortunately. It existed in 1.0 and I recall Yoshida saying it took up too much development time to make multiple versions of the same armor set so they axed it.

Armor models specifically for tails might be too tall an order. It's probably a logistical nightmare trying to make sure every set is compatible with tails, but a good start would be a feature to hide the tails entirely. Something like /tuck and /untuck, the explanation being that the tails are tucked into armor, or otherwise hidden beneath it. It's just plain weird seeing robes, skirts, capes, or heavy armor in general have tails awkwardly jutting through them, especially when the clipping issues begin to ere on the severe side.

On the topic of added cost, however, I have to ask: do we need SE churning out unique armour models at the rate they do? Personally, I'd rather we have a bit more model recycling, but have every model be of higher quality. There's a middle ground between thoroughly accounting for every single possible detail, and between accounting for none of them, which is what SE currently does. Can't we at least explore that middle ground?
