    S Rank Successful Spawn Confirmation

Say you're trying to spawn something like Safat, Chernobog, Bone Crawler, or Salt and Light.

There's no guarantee to the spawn, even if the window is up.

If you start spawning at 36 hours, the mob might not pop until 72 hours later. In this case, it's very likely that the party spawning the mob will never see it.

My suggestion isn't to give rewards for spawning, but to inform the player when the conditions to spawn the mob have been met.

This does not mean Player A uses Chocobo Porter in The Peaks on Monday, and is informed Wednesday when Players B, C, and D are spamming it for the spawn. Only the last player to fulfill the condition should receive the notification. This wouldn't mean that the mob has spawned either, just that the spawn conditions have been met.

A bit contradictory to the title, no? but I agree with the overall notion. At this point I'd settle just for knowing if the damned thing is really open or not because it at least seems like a lot of them have random elements to their timers once they're killed post maintenance.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to have some kind of vague zone-wide announcement when a S rank spawns, like "You sense a dreadful presence.".

They also ought to make the hunter-scholar in each zone mention whether a hunt is still on respawn or if its spawn window is open when you ask them about the hunt in question.

All hunts have a variable respawn timer.

It's two hours variance for A ranks and anywhere from as little as six hours to as much as 52 hours for S ranks.

This would be a great idea.

Maybe they could use the Tension weather, or something similar, for this.

I do like the hunt spawn possibility being available from the hunt scholar. Too often someone forgets to mark the ToD, and that can lead to a lot of wasted work with S Ranks, especially for ARR/HW hunts.

Enough people complain about not making it to Nunyunuwi 10 minutes after it was relayed when it takes an hour to spawn it. Now people'll insta-pull because they're not hunters and abide by no sense of etiquette. Leaving it with the hunt scholar on would require just enough effort to make most people not bother if they even know they need to do that, but still available should they decide to partake.
Another plus for this, it would further encourage people to not use third party utilities since that functionality (or the important parts of it, namely that the hunt spawned) would be available in-game.

Too often someone forgets to mark the ToD in Ariyala, and that can lead to a lot of wasted work with S Ranks, especially for ARR/HW hunts.
And that's in the case of innocent negligence. Just the other week we had several S ranks marked wrongly on the Balmung tracker intentionally, and we all know the stories about that fc who lies on Ariyala and keeps their own tracker or what not. Putting it in the game would even out the playing field.

Well, I don't know if it's that hard to make, both the notification and the weather change (I'll settle with the notification alone though). They have a similar system in the Diadem 3.0 when an Emergency Mission starts.

I'd rather just have a NPC give an option to notify a player when a S rank's variable spawn window is up or not, as Kage Tokage previously suggested.

Even though Hunters who use ACT have a significant advantage over me, I'm indifferent to the potential inclusion for a notification feature.

I'm completely against the weather suggestion, on the other hand - that would be way too obvious, and honestly very obtrusive.

There are two things I'd like, because I'm getting tired of having to rely on tracker apps when I play on PS4. Some nights I don't wanna bother with getting my laptop setup, I just want to sit on my couch, turn on the tv and console and play the game.

    I digress...

    A) There is already a Hunter-Scholar NPC in each zone. I propose that they add a window tracker function to this NPC. Give them four options:
    1) Mark is dead and window is closed. (zero spawn chance)
    2) Window is open.
    3) Window is in Force.
    4) Mark is up in zone somewhere.

    For example,
When the mark is dead and the window is closed(1), the NPC might say, "No traces of _____ have been found recently." If the window is open(2) they might say, "Travelers have been reporting hearing strange noises around the area recently." If the window is in force(3) they might say, "We've been finding large, fresh tracks around the area recently." And if the mark is up(4) they might say, "_______ has been sighted in the area!"

This convention could also be applied to A Rank marks as well. Which I think would be a great QoL change as it would save hunters time, as they wouldn't have to take fruitless laps around zones to check for things anymore. A Ranks just wouldn't have a Force(3) text option since all A Ranks pop at Force.

    B) A zone wide warning would also be nice when S Rank marks spawn. Something to the effect of, "You hear a loud roar in the distance" or "You sense a terrible presence nearby." It would be a great QoL change for Croque, Bonbon, Garlok, Chernobog, Minho, Zona, Lampa, Nuny, Theda, Wulgaru, Laider, Safat, Aggripa, Senmurv, Pale, Gandy, BoP, Leucrotta, Udum, Salt, Okina, Bone. This change would affect 22 of the 29 elite marks, and most likely improve the overall experience, so I think it's worth a strong consideration.

However, I do think the message should only be displayed when the mark pops. So if you are in zone already, you see the message. If you zone in after you'd have to talk to the Hunter-Scholar to check the status. I also think this message should only be displayed for S Ranks. A Ranks' status would always need to be checked at the Hunter-Scholar.

They should rework hunts so they spawn much more often however you can only get credit once pre reset for a and s.
A party of 8 and s party of 18 targets.

    But a spawn 6 to 8 times a day and s 2 to 4 times.

I think the rarity of hunts is what makes them less interesting
Also only 1 type of seal for all hunts.

    Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
