ARR/HW Trials and current ilvl sync

So, I recently got one of my friends into FFXIV. She loves it so far, but the trials like Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, as well as their (Hard) mode versions are way too easy. We burned Shiva down like a random mob in the woods with the entire group ignoring mechanics.

The least I would ask for is to give people incentive to do ilvl sync'd Extreme trials. I would love to go back and do Ultima's Bane again, but finding people who want to do it is very difficult.

This has been something that myself and others have talked about since Heavensward. Does anyone else feel underwhelmed with the older content just being trial roulette filler?

I'm going to be in the minority that the normal/hard trials (which are usually done sync'd via DF/roulette) still give a challenge.

But maybe it's because I seem to always be in a party where the DPS get knocked out by Titan, or stand directly in AOEs without even attempting to dodge them. And often when I get into trials, half the team is legit new with underwhelming gear.

I know it's just my luck and others get into parties where it comes down easily, but I swear if I have to do another freaking Titan (NORMAL) run with only 2 people because the other 2 got knocked out...grrr..... Healers can't adjust knockouts darn it lol.

But yeah, for the extreme ones, it'd be nice to have more reason to do the Extreme versions sync'd.
Maybe a special achievement for beating it ilvl synced that gave a reward. Then people would do them at least once.

Just not normal/hard, I already have to carry people enough as it is.

They do, you get increased drop rates and drop amounts for orchestrion rolls. Not that that is amazing or anything, but it's still an incentive. Maybe if they applied it to mounts or crafting materials, then that would be more than enough in my opinion. Especially when it comes to things like sap/lanners.
