Last year, we had a fan gathering in Copenhagen. Sadly, I could not attend. It seems though, that despite this privilege afforded to us, there does not exist a Danish social channel to gather Danish fans of Final Fantasy XIV. I am trying to rectify that now, with the advent of FrikadelleChat, a linkshell for people of Denmark. With the promise of cross-world linkshells, I am hoping to gather up as many players as possible from across the EU Data Center, and I hope that you will help me grow this idea so that us Danes can have a proper fan gathering again in the future. I love meeting and socializing with people who share my passion for this game. My experience is mostly playing with American friends (and that was a timezone hassle that burnt me out initially), so players from my own neck of the woods would not only ease general banter, but just as much ease play.
So join me, and hopefully many others soon, and we can plant Dannebrog in Eorzea!

Why the name? I thought it was funny, and I wanted a name that was not intimidating at all. Naming the linkshell after one of the prides of Danish cuisine seemed appropriate too. I mean, which Dane does not like a good frikadelle, with preserved cucumber, mash of potato, gravy, and foxberries?
Why not a free company? A free company might be coming down the line, but I thought a linkshell was a better idea in order to create a more relaxed and informal atmosphere, surrounding the gathering of people from Denmark. Plus, if you are from Denmark and you are already solidifed in another free company, you do not have to change!
Why this server? I have played a lot of XIV. I took a break around summer of last year, after completing most of Stormblood, then rolled back into the game around autumn, but did not do much. Now I feel refreshed and energized, and to celebrate that, I rolled a new character on Lich because it had an EXP boost. So that is the long-winded story of why FrikadelleChat is on Lich. As I mentioned earlier, I am hoping to get a cross-world linkshell up and running when the next update hits, but took an early start to see if there even was an interest to begin with.
What if I am on another server until cross-world linkshell becomes available? I have made Discord server as well, in case you are interested in joining the frikadelle revolution. In the future, this Discord server might become the main hub of communication, but I wanted to dip my toes into the water first, to see if there was any interest to begin with.
Will all communication be in Danish? Yes. The reason for this post, and the OP, is in English, was simply for ease of communication, and to let the world know. Fremover vil alt kommunikation, både i Linkshell og på Discord, være på Dansk. Jeg glæder mig til at møde jer alle sammen.
