So now with Samurai has been out for a bit and played to the ground let's discuss where to go from here.
As it stands all classic Final Fantasy classes have been added, or least the main stream ones. Now maybe SE will start some minor workings on the classes we have.
Secondary Weapons. One of the things i loved back in FFXI was the ability to use more then one style of weapons, like Dark Knight could have Great swords and Scythe. So what if they set it up like so:
*GLD- One handed axe
*WAR- Giant Hammer
*Dark- An actual Scythe weapon (not the pay cosmetic one)
*DRG- Two headed Spear
*MNK- Steel Toe Boots (changes fighting style to kick boxing)
*NIN- Make it so each dagger is in different slots so you could go one handed or two (second dagger would go in shield slot)
*RDM- Broadsword or maybe even a reverse style sword (like the Ninja's katana you get for the final job mission)
*SMN/ Scholer- Give them a mini crystal that floats in their hands (since summoned creatures are brought into the world by crystals anyway)
*BLU/ Archer- Crossbow (not sure if BLU are still even in game, haven't seen them in like ever. lol)
*BLK- A magical charm with small crystal wrapped around their hand.
*WHT- A wizard's wand.
*Bard- flute
*Machinist- Shotguns, or maybe sniper rifle like guns.
*Astro- A card launcher (think Veges thing)
*SAM- a mini katana (attacks a slight bit faster.)
And maybe even a slight rework of skills that can be cross used. like:
*All mage/ casters get Scathe, the animation makes it feel like a magical melee. This would really help say a healer if a monster breaks agro and it gives them a fast attack to fight back with rather then try and run away. Also it would be perfect on RDMs.
*Sleep for all mage/ casters. Very under rated spell, helps tanks a lot though.
*Nature's Minnie for ALL DPS.
*Death Blossom for all melee DPS
*Goad for ALL DPS
*Protect for all mage/ casters (like it use to be)
*Flash for all Tanks.
Anyway just a few ideas, I don't expect any to be added or the Dev team to even look at this, but should be a good start to a nice toss of ideas we all have.
