You have that by having a better, essentially guaranteed chance at getting loot than someone who's playing not whatever job you're playing.
Something that isn't going to be a thing in the next alliance raid.

Personally I think all raids should be token based. You get x amount of tokens for each boss kill to spend as you choose after. This negates hate and resentment and "who played most gets gear" type order for FCs also.

tokens aren't going to work in a 24 man because once everyone has what they want no one will run it anymore and will become dead content other than on reset day.
Multiple tokens, lol just 1 lol. You know like 10 for a chest, 5 for boots and so on. No different than the 7 tokens I got for the last boss for my weapon back when. After that, I never went again so it's the same.

Sigh I don’t know who at SE thought this was a good idea, but it must have been a ‘bring your bottle to work’ day. They should keep the loot rule as is. If people can’t play a class why should they be able to have a chance at the gear if someone needs it? For me, my online time has gone down and this would be useful gear . Now I’m going to have to wait in q, then possibly have to run a 60 min instance a few times against 7 others for a tank chest that I need? Nu way Hose A. What a shitty move by SE.
I actually think this is a great idea. I can now use the job I'm most proficient at and still roll for the gear I need. It will help everybody's experience in the raid if players brings their 370 ilevel job that they are good at instead of their 330 job with zero melds and suboptimal rotation. Besides, it's a game and you should play for fun. If you are whining about loot in a virtual game world then you might need to reexamine your life priorities.
I wouldn't worry too much. I can see now people are balking at the idea so it won't last long. That is SE's MO.

I will run it once a week and basically just greed anything for any job I have at or close to 70. If I get something, yay if not oh well, its not like gear has any real meaning anyway since I don't run savage content.
In my experience, even when these are brand new, more then half the loot hits the floor because no one wants it. The system doesnt do "smart loot", so youre still going to get runs where 6 of the 8 drops are for classes that no one brought(and potentially no one plays). At best therell be 1 or 2 pieces that im interested in for stats(the first week i hope that i dont forget about the lockout and "win" the first useless thing that drops just like i did the last 3 tiers), and ill mostly be running it to get my weekly token to upgrade the 360s i already bought. The glamour from the last set wasnt great, but if this one is better then ill have a couple more pieces to chase for that. Ill end up running it for tokens(and potentially minis) SO much more then for actual gear it isnt even funny. And to those still worried about how every single drop you want will be rolled against 7 others(it just wont happen), remember that you can que with friends. Every friend you bring is one less person who you have to roll against(and less chances for a rando who just sucks too).
