What is the purpose of the "website URL" line when submitting reports for cheating?

I initially got the impression it was to be used to submit evidence of a player cheating, but they've explicitly stated in the past that outside evidence isn't accepted due to the potential that it could be altered.

It certainly would be nice if they did bother looking into outside evidence, considering that my server's Discord channel has people who make no effort to conceal their in-game identities openly talking about botting and helping others to start doing it.

On the Support Center, that field is optional. However, if you did have access to the URL where the program could be downloaded, it could be helpful to provide that to assist in investigations. Since it is optional, if you do not know the information and are just reporting it in game, you could omit that information and just report the specific incident.

If you want a suggestion for this kind of investigation, would be nice if have an alteration in the terms of service where the person allow Square Enix check what programs are running together with Final Fantasy XIV. When we click in the System information, you can see all active application running and what we have installed, as well proccess informations. If there is a way to automatically send this kind of information every time we launch the game and keep the info recorded for 2 weeks (since the report validity is 1 week) I think support team and STF could have control of people are running bot, parsers and all these illegal programs destroying the game.
But I think could be nice a real-time monitoring and what the person run/runned while the game was active. I dont know if this is possible, even in legal terms, but here is my suggestion.

That's good to know.

I guess maybe I ought to do some research into this if it helps get something done about these people, because all of my past reports have been ineffective for whatever reason.
