Well, people complain that it wasn't PERFECT and it might have brought new, unintended consequences (hrm, wonder what that reminds me of...) but people still would feel that it fixed more problems than added. Taking it away just simply is a net negative then and so THEN they complain because they got a net negative (when maybe it needed to be taken away because the new problems made where; hsdjaihgo;weagn iwpu gh....).

It just doesn't end, for devs and players, that's part of the allure of MMOs. The problem is that when you make a bad design choice you don't blame the players for UNANIMOUSLY considering it crap and seeking to circumvent an obvious and clumsy time-sink. What you do is you make changes to address those grievances. In this case, you make a mini-game that people actually desire to play.

Banning players for turbo-controller use will not fix anything, fixing the way we craft will.
