turbo controllers the new bot crafting?

I used to play Evony many moons ago and that game is rife with botters despite the game having a far better defined anti-cheating policy than FFXIV.
From experience unless there are enough formal complaints about a player the company who runs/owns the game will do very little to police their own policies over this the moment there is money involved.
To start ousting players at critical time such as this for FFXIV (implementation of subs,game incomplete etc) would be detrimental to its success and most likely its existence.
To all those "anti-botters",take heart from the fact that you are only really in competition with yourself as there is currently no PVP,that is when it will become a real issue.
Should PVP be implemented expect the game to become utterly intrenched in botting as SE will regard botters subs just as acceptable as everyone elses
Sorry if this offends/annoys anyone but sadly I've experienced it many times-you either deal with it or quit.
Money talks here im afraid ,all other moral questions are secondary.
Just to be clear ,I am neither condoning or criticising botters,heck playing Evony i used to leave my laptop running multiple bots for multiple accounts just feed my army(which was massive btw)

For the record, there's a very long thread in the Japanese forums here that talks about the use of turbo controllers, and it has been stated that using it WILL get you banned as the thread was created by the person who has been because of its very use.

I believe the SE policy is unattended gameplay. If you tape down a turbo controller to craft some 100~200 xp item or for an achievement and you're asleep or at work, you would be in violation of this policy. And deadly if caught-caught.

On the other end, where if I take a wireless controller downstairs to the stepping machine, pressing the confirm button manually for an hour, I would still be at risk, as I wouldn't be present to respond to any GMs or anyone that comes up and says, "I'm going to report you if you don't respond to me." And once banned, would have to go through SE customer service for a resolution.

Yeah I craft in the market wards alot so I can transfere items around between myself and retainers. I often get tells like "hello" and "are you there". I reply "hi, how can I help you" ...I get no reply, I ask again what they needed and I get "oh, sorry, was a mistype". Its amazing how everyone has the nerve to assume people are botting, because they areon a crafting rush, but the do not have the balls to say, "oh nothing, just seeing if you were there. Bunch of spinless morons, they seriously expect me to believe they mistyped my entire name when sending a tell.

people used to talk to me too to see if i was there when i was doing my leveling grinds, they mostly know me now so they dont bother, i think they may be scared of my "fabulous" responses lol


but in the end, turbo control = legal
turbo control while afk(not in front of computer in any shape or form, if you are in the kitchen with the control, you are botting!) is illegal


the way of telling the difference is as easy as a gm contact


fyi, against a script checking people who craft a long time, i tend to sit in crafting position afk while at work sometimes(idle of course, literaly just too lazy to hit cancel to stand up) and itd probly check people like me too even if we arent doing anything

I left an ls today because they had people who botted with turbo controllers all night. I brought it up that they were doing this and the rest of the ls said "Oh it's fine it's a turbo controller" they also said "Do it in a different place next time so the gm's don't catch you." It's funny because the ls leader just ousted a member the day prior for botting but he didn't have a problem with those 3 members doing it because SE didn't state that it was against the TOS.

How is there nothing wrong with a turbo controller when players are using them to afk craft all night or while they're at work?
