[REQ] FFXI Orchestration Rolls

With the addition of Eureka and how its already to resemble FFXI in many ways. I think it could be a good time to add FFXI music to our orchestration rolls. Main ones would be the music from the cities and least the starting areas.

Anyone else on board for this?

Still waiting on the portable device that lets us play the songs on the go instead of our apartment/HOME/ FC House/ etc.
But yes FFXI songs need to come over. I kinda hope they come in an event.

We have one theme from FFXI: Iroha's Theme (The Reisen Temple theme) or in FFXI as it's known "Raisenjima Theme". I'm hoping we get more FFXI themes too. I'd love "Ululations From Beyond", one of ToAU's themes from XI. The Gustaberg theme, Windurst [S] theme, Flowers Blooming on the Battlefield (theme from WoTG), among others.

Honestly, Eureka does not resemble FFXI in any way. All they did was add lottery pop "NMs" which have turned into, if anything, resembling FATE grinding in 2.0. Experience point chains also don't count as a "FFXI" thing, they existed already in XIV, but the "NM Train" makes that somewhat unnecessary.

Sure there are some NMs with names you'll remember, Fafnir, Serket, Simurgh etc. and some glamour items from FFXI on top of that. But as a "System", Eureka is no where near that FFXI "feel". I enjoyed Eureka, but it died too fast due to how it was structured, or perhaps the lack of structure. Why doesn't the Dev. team look at how Dynamis, Limbus, Sky and Sea were structured? And then make a FFXIV take on those types of FFXI systems?

Fair points, it was superficially similar to some of XI's style but still constrained by XIV's systems, which is something that won't ever change unless they change how the game itself works. Eureka is still alive and kicking on Aether but maybe Primal is a bit different. They did state they're considering having NMs be force pop or require items for the next leg so we'll see. But this is all kind of off topic considering OP was just wanting more music from XI added to this game and we don't really need another Eureka thread lol

Yeah, Eureka is still alive on Primal. I really just meant it doesn't have the same pull to grind out stuff like XI had. There's no interesting battle systems to keep chaining interesting, like skill chains and magic bursts. Doing the same rotation over and over for hours(if you can even last an hour lol) it's very boring.

They didn't try hard enough to create a system(s), which I know they are capable of. Who knows what delayed Eureka so much, this iteration of it feels unfinished, rushed even? That or they just don't have a clue. Anywaaay, this isn't what this thread is about I just had to comment on it once that when people say Eureka is like XI...it's really, really isn't...it's not even close.

I'd like a lot more FFXI music for sure though. :3

Honestly the slight nods to killing PHs to spawn the NMs and the constant inane yelling in shout chat made that itch for XI come back so I went back to finish some stuff. No substitute for the real drug lol

But yeah the combat system of XIV is comparatively too fast to be something you hammer away at for extended periods. I can hang for about the three hours of one instance then I need to chill for a while before I feel like going into other content. To contribute I'd love if did bring the songs used for the past XI events as scrolls (like Enkidoh mentioned)
