Thread: The Unsung Heros (Level 70 SCH)

I'm having such difficulty with the level 70 SCH quest. So I've tried both Selene and Eos (not quite sure which is better to use), I have ilevel 252 currently and can't seem to find somewhere to increase it. I'm not sure what rotations are good to use for the final boss since I have to also keep the two NPCs and myself alive. I'm very frustrated. I've watched tons of videos on it but the people have gear that I don't (Ala Mhingan for example) Any ideas? I'm at my wits end with this quest.

The rotation I use pre-pull: is Aetherflow, Chain Stratagem

During the fight: Shadow Flare, Bane 2, Miasma, and spam Broil 2 with healing as needed usually Physic or Lustrate.

This quest is ridiculous and it feels impossible to do.

For that quest it won't really matter whether your use Eos or Selene, but I did it with Selene.

Your gear is ...ok....for that quest. Would it be easier with higher? Yes,but not necessary.
If you want to get better gear, here are some options (feel free to mix and match):

- like dungeons? Run the highest level dungeon you can and pray RNGesus is on your side *not a recommended way

- got poetics? Get Augmented level 60 shire gear (ilvl 260-270) in Idyllshire. If you're at 252 right now, that's an upgrade. This is the gear I did mine in (a full set of augment shire is overall ilevel 269). If you don't have a lot, it's pretty easy to farm. Do MSQ roulette (yes there are CS but it's 400-500 poetics daily), join hunts, do frontline (50 poetics for about 13-20 mins), do POTD floors 50+. <= recommended method

- Got gil? Crafted 320 gear is an option, or crafted 350 gear if you're really rich

- Are you in a hunt LS and have tons of centurio seals? You can get the Ala Mhigan gear (310) in Rhalgr's Reach

Methods that I'm not sure if you're able to do because the NPCs might not be unlocked yet:
- Got creation? get some 330 gear at Rhalgr's Reach
- Edited out: I was going to recommend Eureka, but that requires beating SB, which in turn requires you to be ilvl 280. So clearly not recommendable. However once you beat SB I would totally recommend using this method to get to some pretty easy 350 gear.

Role actions you want to have: protect, lucid dreaming, cleric stance, largesse (for bigger heals when you need them), and swiftcast

Prepull: Have aetherflow up, use Selene's Fey wind, use Cleric stance.
Pull: Miasma -> Bio2 + Shadow Flare + Chain Strategem -> spam Broil 2 until dots need refresh or someone needs healing.
Always try to combined ogcds (shadow flare and chain strat) with an instant GCD like Bio2 or Ruin II, thus allowing you to use 2 skills in the same time as it would take to just case the Bio 2 or Ruin II by iself
If you have to dodge: use ruin ii, it's instant so you can dodge and attack at the same time.

Strategy:
stay close-ish to the boss so it's easier to dodge the conal aoe

Focus on healing the NPCs, keep them alive (50%+ to be safe) at all costs. This is more important than your dps, if they die, you lose. Keep yourself 65% plus if you're under ivl 300.

You probably want to practice first (Eureka might be a good place to do some practice actually). The last quest isn't the only hard quest in the SB SCH job quests.

Yeah that's a huge ilvl gap, plus it is harder for a newer player than one who already has other jobs. Or maybe you're just naturally good lol
Either way, grats now you have your Fey Union (a skill that gets a lot of flack in forums, but I've seen it show up fairly often in top player logs.)
