cannot get to Harbor

Just wondering if you hae to be a certain lvl to get to another city, im lvl 17 and I cant get past the gate to the harbor to get on the ferry am I missing somthing?

When you get to the gate there should be the blue (i) pop up on the mini tools thing. Accessing your menu will give you the option to interact with the Gate and enter the ferry docks. You have to be on the correct side (right) to get the notice.

You don't talk to the guy you just access it like a Aetheryte Gate. Should see a icon in you menu when you approach the gate.

Also keep an eye out whenever you see a new icon pop up in the mini-menu. You interact with quite a few things that way or it might have extra commands for you.

Also it may not pop up right away! For example, I have to stand in front of the door in Ul'Dah to the airshipf or about 30 seconds before the icon appears.

Also proximity is a bit weird. You may be 'too close' or 'too far' and you have to find the 'sweet spot' to activate the icon.

I recommend: Go to the right place, wait 30 seconds, if no icon, wiggle around a bit until it pops up.

The easier way to go about this would be just taking the airship. It'll save you much of the toil we had to deal with when the game started. ^^;

I have to admit the rare time I get the ferry I still run up to the gate and stand there like a loon wating to zone into the ferry area.
