Thank you for the update everyone.
Is there anyone still having the same issue? Or have any similar issues cropped up if this one is resolved?
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Just tried, my patcher screen took a bit longer to show up but it happened, logging on in game and will try to stay on as much as possible, I turned off the VPN for this test and all seems to be working now.
The game seems to be working fine now.
not for me. Yesterday worked fine, today blank screen again. No timeout error but it took forever to load the launcher.
Even this site was not loading correctly. Only pure HTML, no images, no css, nothing.
And I did the basic checks: speed, restart modem, restart router, restart PS4, and the other checks suggested
I logged in eventually, but it took way too long.
I was able to Login today, still downloading the patchs for Heavensward and Stormblood cuz I tried everything including uninstalling the game.
But I believe it should go well after it finishes the download.
I'll post again later to make sure all went fine.
Great! Please keep us updated.
Getting the white screen here too now, only on ps4. White screen to wv-33907-2 error i.w. timeout. ISP is frontier, no issues with forums here or any other site.
just an update: friday and today things worked all right. no white screens and no errors no delays logging in. Apparently things are stable for now. If we're lucky, for good.
That error is something specific to the Playstation 4. It basically means that your request is timing out. Specifically, you are having trouble connecting to the Playstation Network. If you can't connect to that, then you can't connect the Final Fantasy XIV.
It seems that the issue has subsided for everyone else. as such, this thread will be moved to the 'Closed Concerns' subforum.
Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
