Brazilians having the same problem with Vivo (Telefônica Group) ISP

Its not our ISP but something with servers blocking some of the ISPs we are using.

This happened before, its the second time now. They took around one week to solve this last time.

Lets hope they can fix this faster now.

I can officially report that I am having problem logging on to the game:

    - Platform:
    PC

    - the nature of the latency
Error 2002 ad nauseum. Latency is massive. And I log in to Aether.

    - Type of connection
    Wireless desktop

    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    Chrome browser

    - Everything you have tried to resolve the issue:
Restarted the computer, the modem, the router. Error 2002 apparently is a server-side issue. This needs a hotfix and you guys out there need to act NOW.

Its not only South America. We have players in USA and Russia having the same problem.

As I said before, this connection problem happened before. Exactly the same way.

    - Type of connection: wired (movistar > telefonica)

    - Everything you have tried to resolve the issue: all the step with the cookies and java you mentioned, the date and time thing, restarting router and dns flushing.

Having the exact same issue, I'm also on the Ps4, South America, Vivo ISP.. I can get past the version check but I'm greeted by the white screen, I can get a workaround using a VPN by setting it up on my router but that's not the optimal way to play.. So please help us out? :/

I've done everything that they asked to, and still, nothing.
Went to my ISP this afternoon and they were sure that the issue comes from their servers. Prime times 6/8pm just gets worse. In the mornings I managed to log in, but now... 5 attempts to log in, and when I did, got dc'ed.

It is on their end, its not the ISP's fault, last time this happened it was on their end and almost took them a week to figure out whats wrong, its really annoying this happens out of nowhere too, and our sub days do get counted anyway even if it's their fault..

I can't say with any certainty that it's the servers themselves, nor are we blocking anyone form the servers. I would suggest some of the troubleshooting already listed and the following in on PC:

Ensure that the latest version of Internet Explorer is installed on your PC (even if you don't use Internet Explorer), please do not use Edge as that is a different internet platform. Once Internet Explorer is up-to-date, please open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

Please make sure all background applications (including anti-virus programs such as Norton, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, etc.) have been disabled and/or closed to minimize game interference.

If you have properly configured your router, and you are still experiencing these issues, bypass the router and connect your computer directly to your modem. Please ensure that you power down both the modem and the computer for at least five minutes before attempting to connect to FINAL FANTASY XIV.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Same problem as most ppl here: PS4, white screen, lobby timeouts since Saturday.
And yeah, ISP: VIVO/telefonica. And when I switch ISP, instant lobby connection.

Last time it was a global problem not only South America, but everyone that had an ISP affiliated with telefonica. Mexico, Spain, etc.

Yeah, I did all the recommended steps by Einmimiria to no avail. Only option for me was tether conection to another ISP
