P2W. P2QOL. P2Progress.I advise you stop making a fool of yourself. What you are talking about is in no way pay to win.
Even if people can get easier cash from these services the use of gil in game is limited anyway. What can you buy with it honestly ?A house. There are restrictions with houseing so gil is irrelevant most of the time in that equation. Some extra stats from crafted gear? The current crafted gear is equal to eureka gear which is quite easy to grind. With the exception of accs of course which can be bought or crafted easily enough currently.Materia for melds?Well you get tonnes now from hunts and Eureka.Buying them isnt needed.
The new services will in no way affect actual gameplay and you know this.
You're just ranting out of spite because they are selling needless services you dont want to pay for.
Who cares! Just stop the God forsaken Microtransactions.
Just give the entire app for free, 100%.
None of these Free - Prem tier bullcrap.
People are getting sick and tired of this man.
This is a case where the trends of SE actually do show that eventually things will be 'pay to win' by typical standards rather than the slow seeping in that this actually is. Also people don't want to admit it's pay to win because they're used to the normal variant but it totally is p2w.
Regardless, it sets a terrible precedent and anyone who isn't against it doesn't realize that it will cause the game to stagnate further. Really it's not about the game losing subs because the additional monetization options will rectify that. It's about the game slowly becoming formulaic stew where you pay to get the little gems that exist rather than playing and enjoying the game and then being rewarded further for it.
So technically speaking, I could buy myself a PSVita and remote play while at work/away from the game and do the exact same things that the app does, therefore I'm paying to win.
Not pay to win, nice melodramatics but looks sad and out of touch when you're wrong on the base points.
Gil doesn't help you progress. The marketboard microcosm is a made up game with no win states.
I've never crafted, I've never rented retainers. I'm the most basic of base sub players, and there's never been anything out of my reach that someone with an extra retainer would have been able to get
I was wondering those that pay for a vpn service so they have a better ping. Is that not a type of pay to win. I'm totally against the class jump potions. I have seen way to many tanks and healers that have used them and don't have first clue how to play there class. once in a ex roulette my rdm had to be main healer because whm had no clue how to heal. So think the jump potions is not much of a pay to win there more like a double edged sword. Jump potions for retainers and main story consider pay to win items.

I would bookmark it if I were you. This is just the beginning. While not quite P2W yet, it's on the rails and going full speed ahead. Anyone who has been around the block more than once knows how this is going to end. And it's not going to end well. My sub runs out in less than a week, but I will be checking in (not subbing, mind you) every so often to see just how bad things are no doubt going to get. This app is just the start of something terrible.
I'm personally hoping it ends with the game going F2P, because it has become incredibly hard to justify paying to play it. And I already only sub once every few months.
The game is basically a F2P game with a subscription at this point.
I can't agree it's pay to win. It is however smart on SE end to lock it behind a $5 fee.
We may dislike it but plenty people will pay for it, I might even.
What i don't like is we need to collect tokens to use the payed service but that is so people won't abuse the feature i guess.
The way i read the LL we get the option to hire 1 more retainer, not that payed users will have 3 retainers now.
Yes, too bad it works like crap, at least in my own experience. Also requires you playing on PS4.
You could use Chrome remote for PC users but that also works like crap from my experience. Might been my internet access at home isn't so fast though.

When they'll shut down our argument by saying that we are wrong because they are not selling us power what will you say? This is completely untrue. Pay to Win is not a literal term. If you wanted it to be literal, you would need to change the term to Pay for Advantage.
Even if you wanted to use the term in the case of winning, such as in PvP, Pay to Win does not require that you actually win. It simply requires that you have an advantage over the non-payer that they can't achieve without paying.
The app is Terrible because it's a QOL kept away by a paywall which is not directly a pay to win. We don't need for the company to have an easy argument to use against us, we need for them to understand that this premium currency or boost will not be acceptable for ANY REASONS
