well alll jobs are wearing the CLASSIC robes for their specific job... so why shouldnt a summoner?

of course he will look like it... you cant compare it with FFX.. FFX is not about classic jobs/job robes

Regardless, I might be one of the few that DOESN'T want a summoner class. It's no like the jobs/classes need to be 1:1 with XI. Not to mention the role summons cover in this game is completely different.

Why would Summoner need to be like it was in XI? It doesn't have to be a pet class. It can work like it did in every other Final Fantasy game, and just be a huge spell.

Glad to see everyone is enjoying the image I posted. Rydia is why I became a summoner in the first place in XI. for 8 years I played that game and SMN was the ONLY thing I ever had leveled. Not cause I couldn't level anything else, but because nothing else really mattered to me. But MAN did I hate those stupid horns.

Seriously, hasn't the tone of the communication made it clear they are going to include every big legacy job.

In addition they are going to offer the artifact/jse (i.e. traditional) gear sets, as (hopefully) quested gear.

Use your horn gear as you see fit, or double/triple materia some crowns, hats, sugarloafs, etc and as Yoshi pointed out, they will likely be superior gear.
