Disconnection ever 15 or 20min, after maintenance.

    I'm suffering disconnections every 15 or 20min.
After maintenance my connection works very badly. Today I have not been able to carry out any savage activity thanks to the SE connection.
My friend from different city and different Internet Company is suffering same problem.
    We are from Argentina.
I expect some response from technical support.

This famous answer does not apply in this case: Windows Disconnection

Hello Regina, Im from Uruguay and one of our raid guys is from Argentina, we are both experiencing the same problem, disconnections and horrible latency spikes every so often, i think this has been on going since Monday.
Im not completely sure its a problem with SE servers, its possible its a problem with our countries routing instead, sadly it has been a pain to raid so far, hope it gets fixed soon.

I have two friends from Argentina experiencing this problem since the update, everyone else on my raid group are from Chile and we are not experiencing this latency spikes.

Let's hope SE can check this because it was really hard to raid yesterday with our two friends disconnecting every 15 minutes.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Can I get some addition information from you about the disconnections you are having?

    Please provide:

    - Platform (PC, PS4, Mac)
    - Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect (if any)
    - Type of connection (wired or wireless)
    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    - Frequency at which disconnect occurs
    - Where you are booted to after disconnect (Desktop, Start Screen, Character Select)
    - Where in the game does this occur? Is there any pattern to the disconnects?
    - Everything you have tried to resolve the issue

Why do you believe the troubleshooting steps you linked "do not apply?" Have you tried them already?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Hello, also been experiencing the same issues after the recent maintenance.

    -Playing on PC
-"Connection has been lost with the server"
    -Wireless
-No other programs running, mainly to try and avoid this situation
-Disconnect occurs randomly, either a couple minutes after logging in and running around, or after a good 20-30 minutes of playtime, but with constant and severe lag spikes (lasting up to a minute at a time)
-Booted back to the Stormblood main screen, and then when going to click on my character, it says my character wasn't correctly logged out and I have to close and reopen the client to log in again
-Occurs randomly, noticeably in dungeons and in battle
-I have restarted my computer, installed new updates, refreshed router, unplugged and plugged back in the router after 30 seconds, ran as administrator, used a GPN (WTFast) with no improvement.

I never had this issues before, and after updating the game with this recent maintenance I have had nothing but issues.

    Thank you for your response!

The issue you are describing is most associated with interference with the game data. Most of the time, it results from certain security/privacy changes on Internet Explorer. Other times it occurs when an application that is running in the background is causing interference, such as Anti-virus software, firewalls, media players, web browsers, etc.

Please make sure all background applications (including anti-virus programs such as Norton, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, etc.) have been disabled and/or closed to minimize game interference.

Ensure that the latest version of Internet Explorer is installed on your PC (even if you don't use Internet Explorer), please do not use Edge as that is a different internet platform. Once Internet Explorer is up-to-date, please open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED.
    [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    Please RESTART your PC now.

Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

If the suggestions provided above do not resolve the issue, then there is a communication error.
Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened/forwarded/triggered:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    Hope to be of assistance

    Hey thanks for the feedback!

I tried doing all of these things after you posted them, and I am still experiencing the same issues. When I get the disconnect error message, I also get the error code 90002. This has only become an issue as of Tuesday after the recent maintenance. I also uninstalled and reinstalled my game and client, with no improvement. Not sure what to do at this point.

Do you share your bandwidth with anyone? anyone streaming on it? If not it could be your ISP connection, ( some throttle during certain times )or too many players in. Try lowering resources for in game should help. Had that issue before, now it's rare I do.

I share it with the rest of my family, but they aren't home when I play. I usually only play when I am home by myself to avoid any added stress on the router. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the ISP is doing some wonky stuff during the day when most people are working, so maybe I could try later at night. I'll try and lower the settings to see if that does anything. When I logged back in after doing the changes suggested by Ariellendera, I tested the changes with some light combat, only to disconnect within 5-10 seconds after initiating a battle.

Lowered the settings and did another light combat sequence, and disconnected after 10 seconds. I have also disconnected any of my devices from the WiFi to reduce any extra stress I may have been causing, with no change. Guess I'll have to try when I have a free night or when SE does another maintenance patch.
