Rule of most anime... Less a woman wears the more dangerous and powerful they are. Beware female characters attacking while totally nude >.>

I'm glad that XIV is largely exempt from making outfits arbitrarily more revealing on females then males.

The DRG AF's exposed midriff and the lack of an undershirt on a handful of other pieces like the BRD AF and Scylla chest pieces are about the extent of it.

DRG AF 1 was a mistake and i hope it's one that will not be repeated for AF lore themed sets. I am not opposed to reveling armor for females however, as long as the same items can be used for males. While i'll never wear the bunny outfit on my main character, others should have the option to do so. Still waiting on a corset for my female alts.

    Something for the guys.

I don't think it really matters. I never cared for practical looking armors personally. In a game with magic and dragons, is realism even a relevant point of criticism.

Never underestimate a woman's uterine powers!

(To FFXIV's credit, there's no real shortage of skimpy male outfits as well).

I disagree. It's mostly about skirts - male characters actually get quite a variety of skirts-over-pants and we usually get just the skirts. Or pants that turn into miniskirts (eg. scholar's culottes, crafter's bottoms), or possibly just evaporate entirely (eg. cleric's culottes). Even long skirts are only decent until you get thrown around or do leaping attacks or have any of the many things happen that let you see straight up them.

Then there's things like the crafter's coatee - very nice on male characters, but a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen on females...

    I love all the skirts!

I'd worry more about the Highlander Hempen top malfunctioning. But I guess only they really have to worry about that.

I love the skirts too! Which is why I wish I could wear them over pants, like the male version of the equipment has built into the design.

Ok, so should there be two version equip-able by both? Should There be a way to choose which version appears?
