"Magic force field" is kind of a crappy excuse for skimpy armor tbh...
just wear whatever you want and don't five two craps about what others think.
people just love having something to complain about. wear whatever you like. people gonna be triggered by everything
I need a 'who wore it better' of a catgirl vs. a male roe
Embrace the magic that is skimpy armor.
Honestly, the only bikini armor in XIV for tanks is the Shisui. The Coliseum gear is DoW, having a lower def. value that tank-only gear. I think they did a great job keeping those the the minium.
I've been in DF where the tank was a large male roe wearing nothing but a leopard print speedo.
Who cares what you wear. Besides ... that old saying in RPGs and Fantasy Art ... "The less armor you wear = the higher AC!"
There is craftable versions of the skimpy coliseum gear. Not really keeping it to a minimum when it's available for every job to use. I'm not complaining though, just pointing it out.
I assume thats a glamour?
In that case, your character (gender doesnt matter) is actually wearing their proper heavy armour, but are creating an illusion that they're wearing a bikini, to speak lorewise. So unless you're actually wearing some of thise skimpy clothes, there is nothing to discuss.
Most of the tank-gear is pretty heavy armor, after all - and unlike other games, where girls will get some tiny platebikini while guys get to wear the real thing, FFXIV hands out proper heavy gear to both genders when it comes to tanks, so the gender is kinda irrelevant here...
