I know a number of players that just use initials in group content so I can see why they just use the class. Also what is easier to see your name in lowercase or your class in uppercase. Lets be honest the uppercase gets your eye but if you see your name wouldnt you think your being yelled at? A lot of players are sensitive about that too. Situation and ease are why this started
