Lockboxes prove there is an inventory management problem with this game

I'll admit I've not read all of this thread's pages because it was starting to get heated, but maybe you can limit yourself? Possibly keep two or three stacks of boxes to hold onto in case they add more items and open any you get after those? No massive loss of space and you can npc everything, since the anemos gear is not worth a sell slot on your retainer, and just keep the materia to toss onto the market board.

that's exactly what i am doing ya. my personal point is that it is too much to hand in, so for now I am just keeping those 2 stacks on retainer till they update this. I did the same thing with the crystals. I got to lv 20 with my SO and was done with the area. I did not turn in the crystals for the glam gear till they updated the crystal exchange.

Sure I like the mount and stuff, but under the current system (like the crystal exchange before that one hotfix) makes it not worth it.
