The only major issue is that the seasonal fireworks and other items are, well, not seasonal, and they don't retire old token items from places like Alexander when the next expansion hits. They should just make the old raid token items gray items that can be turned in for some kind of currency and make old Alexander gear purchasable via poetics.

Also, they seriously need alternative ways to get the old primal craft items. There's no way people are going to keep farming bird mounts and eventually all the supply is just going to dry up. This basically already happened with Fiend Sap.

As for the lockboxes themselves, the question is: Was this massive lockbox acquisition, consequence of the NM train, really intended from a dev. standpoint?

For the umpteen gazillionth time, yes it was. They wouldn't have made not going after NMs so worthless and made going after NMs the only worthwhile thing to do with your time in Eureka if this was not their "intention" from the start.
