    Can't log in, keep getting error (17) whenever I do

    So, I teleport to the Peaks, and the game boots me out. No biggie, sometimes the Wi-Fi hiccups whenever I teleport.

    I try to log back in, click on my character Aza Lynel on Cactuar, and as it tries to load me in, it boots me back out with Error (17). I've tried reinstalling, tried restarting, tried logging in with DX9, nadda, doesn't do anything. Still can't log into my character. Alternatively I can log into my other characters so I'm guessing it's not an account issue? I'm assuming that for whatever reason, the instance of the Peaks I teleported into isn't meshing well with my laptop but as I'm on holiday, I can't log into my desktop to see if I can circumvent the issue by trying with a different computer, in case my laptop is just being fussy.

    Any help with this please? I think all I need is my character moved to a different area, because before I was booted I was able to teleport to other places perfectly fine (The Fringes, Idyllshire, FC house, etc, etc). Though I'm not sure if this means that the Peaks are forever off limits to me...

    Hello kivaember, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    After the reinstall did you make sure to delete any remaining FFXIV files from your computer, including any potential files in your ‘Documents’ folder? I would suggest doing this. Please let us know if this helps.

    Yeah, I deleted the character logs as well since a friend suggested that may have been the issue. I still get booted out instantly after logging in so I'm a bit at a loss on what else I can do.

    Oh, never mind. I retried the uninstall and this time completed wiped my computer of anything ffxiv right down to clearing out the recycle bin before reinstalling it, and that seems to have solved the issue now. I must've mistakenly allowed a file to still be on my computer somewhere last time I tried.
