How to meld shared gear efficiently?

    Good day.
Does anyone have advice on how to meld gear, so you can share it between all your jobs without loosing overmuch?
I have all 3 jobs and spend time on them equally, yet have them sharing same gear set and want to get the most for all.
So, basically stat weights or order, but for all 3 put together?

While its true that different classes have different stat weights its hard to go wrong with maxing Crit then DH or Det. It may not be 100% optimal for all classes but its a benefit to all classes. I don't really play healer but I believe Det is better than DH for them. Maybe someone else can give you better info.

Crit is prized for contributing to SCH's "Critlo" and AST has a similar mechanic with Nocturnal Aspected Benefic/Helios, so you can't go wrong with Crit for those two, and it will still be a bonus for WHM.

Crit, followed by Det. It's what I've done for WHM - it's what I would do for all the others. Now, if we were talking Tanks or DPS -- totally different story.

For omni-healer use, I'd meld either Crit or Determination with my bias leaning towards crit. Secondary differences don't matter too much unless you're looking to optimize at the extreme highest tiers of content and looking to achieve the absolute best numbers.

Just as an FYI, Crits increase the potency of your cures and thus increase the potency of shields, but AST doesn't have the same bonus benefits to critting their Aspected Benefic / Aspected Helios that SCH has when they crit Adlo.

    I said it's similar.

"Nocturnal Sect Effect: Erects a magicked barrier which nullifies damage equaling 250% the amount of HP restored."
If it crits, it restores more HP, thus erects a more potent magicked barrier.

It's not doubled like Adlo, but it's still an increased shield.

Healers have it easier than the other roles on this because all healers value Crit and all healers value Det. If you're doing progression, some VIT can also be useful, but again all healers benefit equally. If you go with those you're in good shape.

If you find you have MP issues on one job and want to add PIE but not on the other jobs, go pick up a piece of Anamos armor and slot a ton of PIE in it. The other two jobs can't wear it, so they won't be impacted.

If that was the intent of your statement, that's fine. I just happened to interpret it that because you used "Critlo" and compared it to Noct A.Benefic / A.Helios, it implies critical A.Benefic / A.Helios also gains that bonus shield and I'm trying to stymie that misinformation as I'm probably not the only person who would interpret your statement in that way.

    Meld Crit then Det.

    Useful for all healers.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
