How do you deal with constant undercutting?

Did those crafters have only a single DoW/M class at 70?

I've noticed the typical gathering/crafting bot tends to only have SMN/SCH at 70 with the other classes totally untouched, as that combo has an easy time plowing through the MSQ.

This is true of Cactaur's annoying undercutter as well as all of their suspected alts on other servers.

(Can remove the name if that falls under name/shame) All his stuff has "obtaining signature" today and he's undercut things like Fending Earrings by as much as 500k.

Obtaining Signature could be the players name. Used to have a player by that name on Gilgamesh, though I do not know if he is still around. Nevermind, looked up that name for Gilgamesh, it's a lvl 17 LNC with no other jobs or classes leveled. Could of sworn I looked a max crafter by that name before.

Our buddy over on Zodiark did indeed seem to be a bot or RMT seller and vanished completely once reported.

Unfortunately just over a week later he's returned again, same nonsense RMT name retainers, same massive undercuts to unload fast, same crafters on Carbuncle making his items. He's spread out a bit and has something like 500 pieces of gear listed now across the market, Rakshasa, Onishi, crafter/gatherer accessories and so on.

Any other servers seeing anything similar?

I don't know if it's the case anymore, but Balmung had an ongoing issue with that in the 350 market before I transferred.

That sounds several maginitudes worse then what's going on the servers I mentioned.

The fact that their gear is being seemingly transferred over from another server via a mule account/character is odd, though.

It's just a pity this issue is almost certainly not going to be addressed as long as they continue with their current backwards way of handling reports.

There is really only one thing that bothers me when it comes to the MB game and that is the people botting. Undercut me whatever by 1 gil or by however much I don't care as long as you're human and actually at the keyboard actively playing the game. People using bots ruin the game for everyone.

Alike to what Liam_Harper discussed a few posts ago, i've been having a marketboard problem in omega server, i just can't say for sure its bot/exploit/etc since it's my first experience in ffxiv with this sort of thing.

So anyways, the same guy has been posting (flooding) the 340 crafter/gatherer lvl 70 armor section to the point of posting 10~20 items of the same slot and undercutting to a value cheaper than the mats, and if i try to undercut he just drops 50k or 100k increments at a time to the point its ridiculous cheap to have a profit and the item is bought almost instantly (i've tried with 2 items).
Also i noticed a few 350 pieces with same retainer names, but haven't been following those pieces.

It's been a week and the problem still persists, the items are now with obtaining signature and not anymore with the previous char name (wich was a single job lvl 1 before the maintenace).

It was already hard/slow enough to sell crafter/gatherer armor in this server and now its 100% impossible at sane prices.

All in all just posting this here because i dont know what to do, but it just doesnt seem normal to me, call me paranoid

Is that player in a FC?

Because the bot on my server has alt accounts in their FC situated in different cities that do the undercutting while they craft. It's pretty obvious that it's what they're doing as they just sit by a retainer bell constantly targeting/untargeting it all day long.

No, it seems the char in question is a mule with no fc, its still the same items posted in the marketboard since the first appearance.
So far no new items crafted and ppl just quitted posting because of the insane spam and constant undercuting.
The current situation is still a flood of 340 crafter armor by the same retainers.
And i might be wrong but i can see the base mats being affected aswell if this continues.
