I don't mind the idea of level sync...

In theory, it's a great idea to allow everyone to play together despite their 'real' levels while EVERYONE gains a proportionate amount of experience for it. Many people really benefited from this... ESPECIALLY new players who had just joined. Instead of being greeted with 'dead zones' and feeling forced to level alone, new players were welcomed with open arms from grizzled veterans leveling their next job.

However... in actuality, it wasn't so great.

In FFXI, so many people simply formed low-level parties in Qufim (level 18-25ish zone) and literally continued doing that until they were a very high level. It sort of ruined the fun of 'progression' for me. In XI, there was a pretty clear, defined 'order' of zones from level 20 on. First it was Qufim, then the jungles, etc.

I don't want the beauty of this game and all of its zones to be ruined by the possibility of level sync. Although, it IS a different game and there are NOT nearly as many jobs as there were in XI. It would be harder for people to simply form low level level sync parties and stick with them until they were high level... but, who knows. That's just my fear.
