Level sync is not even needed. Especially after server merger comes into play. There is plenty of people to play with of all levels.

Level-Sync is not just for XPing. It goes a very long way to extend the life of pre-end game content. Most people don't know this, but ToTo-Rak is actually very fun if you don't do it at level 50.

Not everyone wants to be walked through the game.

Ok, so get a group of level 25s? My statement remains the same even for this situation. There is STILL people out there who are level 25, and there is still people out there who want to run low level stuff.

This is nothing to do with level synching, this is to do with level-capping instances.

Edit: Quoted wrong post; I agree with you FilthyDisco, however. My comment was a response to the post you were quoting.

@TheVedis: Means increases the sample pool, at least.

It's not that fact that there are people with low level classes still playing the game. It's about creating opportunity for anyone to play with everyone. A lv 25 might sit around for hours to days looking for other people to join, or give in and get carried through the content by a much higher level.

You can look through these forums and people cry out for options and challenges. Yet, when presented an option to up the challenge people balk at it.

I'm not going to try change your stance on Level Sync. I just want the option to be able to engage in more challenging, dare I say fun gameplay through level sync by matching my higher level to a lower level. If you don't want that option, you can pass on it.

    RemVye,

Part of the whole point of level sync is to avoid PL.

    - A lot of avid Level sync Protestors are saying "it'll make it too easy to exp" but what about PL? Isn't that even worse?

    - A lot of avid Level sync protestors are saying "People won't know how to play there class" How is getting PL any better? It's worse! players take no active part in anything until that can't be PL'd any further.

    - A lot of avid Level sync protestors are saying "you should have to work for your levels" I bet if you calculated the xp/hr at any level and the amount of XP required to get to 50. it would take you nearly the same amount of time to get to 50 doing it the normal way as say doing it sync'd at level 20.

    - A lot of avid Level sync supporters are not necessarily wanting to get the fastest amount of EXP, but actually play a multi-player game with other people, and have plentiful opportunities to do so.

Also you don't need a pt of 8/8 to get fast exp, I've been in PTs of 3-4-5/8 and made decent exp/hr.

How do you create opportunity for players to unite, when there is a barrier between them preventing them to play together?

    you remove the barrier.

I think you didn't read my post.

People will take the easiest route to achieve goals.

...I was going to type out a response, but after getting through half of it I realized most people on these forums don't use logic. So just go back and read my original post. I did enjoy your repetitious use of 'A lot of avid Level sync protestors' in your reply, made me realize how little logic you have.

On the contrary, I did read your post.

You made it clear that be your "logic" If you can't find a party of 8/8 people at any given level, then power leveling is the fastest way to gain xp/hr to advance your class. So why bother with anything else.

I was mearly pointing out not just for yourself, but other anti-level sync minded people; that part of their reasoning (player won't learn their class) is invaled. Why? Because being power leveled completely circumvents any aspect of "training" one would recieve by actively taking part in the game. That being able to level sync doesn't make gaining exp any easier than being power leveled. That the time it takes to reach level 50 is calculated, that the rate of gain in a sync pt would be comperable to the rate of gain in a normal PT.

Now, is it illogical to think that maybe a group of people would like to forego the "power level" path, and experience game play the way it is supposed to be? Unfortunatly they have these barriers called "LEVEL DIFFERENCE" keeping that group from doing so. Wouldn't it be nice to have an option to remove that barrier temporarily to broaden the oppertunities players can have with their leveling style?

So, read this, then learn how to use the word "logic" correctly. Then reply to this post.

Let me try to explain this again.

Power leveling is the fastest way to level... period (*until 35-40ish). It's faster than a full party, and if you don't have a full party and you're trying to party it's even slower.

I was mearly pointing out not just for yourself, but other anti-level sync minded people; that part of their reasoning (player won't learn their class) is invaled. Why? My claim was it takes about an hour or less to learn your class (at max level) if you know how to read. I didn't say anything about gaining more or less "training" by using PL or partying.

No one learns all the ins and outs of there class by leveling, you learn it during 'hard' fights / end game. Again, my point is the game is so easy that saying "you don't learn your class" is just absurd because of how easy it is to learn.

That being able to level sync doesn't make gaining exp any easier than being power leveled. That the time it takes to reach level 50 is calculated, that the rate of gain in a sync pt would be comperable to the rate of gain in a normal PT.
This is confusing... sync is just making everyone the same level? So how would you gain more exp in a sync party than a normal party? I never said anything that resembles this statement at all.

You would have a faster rate of exp gain in a power level party, that is my point. As a level 50 why would I bother to lower my level to party with an LS mate, when I can spend 1/3 of the time to PL him?

Now, is it illogical to think that maybe a group of people would like to forego the "power level" path, and experience game play the way it is supposed to be? Unfortunatly they have these barriers called "LEVEL DIFFERENCE" keeping that group from doing so. My overall point is that people will take the easiest route to achieve goals. There might be some who are so opposed to PL that they won't participate in it.
If you're level 50 what's in it for you to join a level sync party? You won't gain exp, and Spirit bonding will take longer because of the lower exp gain.
If there is someone level 40, they can join a party and get 50 in 3 hours - why would they join a lower level sync party? If someone is level 20, would they prefer to spend a few hours at each level or having someone PL them to 35 in a few hours total?

    Logic, sir. Logic.

Level Sync does have it's advantages, but it's not necessary for the game now. I believe they already said 2.0 for it's release. Who's going to bother with level sync when they can get PL'd a lot faster (referring to my very first post).

People will take the easiest path to achieve goals!

    1st choice) Look for PL
2nd choice) Look for level sync party
3rd choice) Do leves / grind
    4th choice) Do quests

I honestly don't think there is any getting through to them.

Too many people want to control how everyone else plays the game. They want to feel like their "accomplishments" in an unfinished and constantly changing game are somehow recognized by making the game less enjoyable for others. They aren't thinking beyond themselves. Even to the point that they couldn't turn down a level sync party themselves if level sync were introduced. They recognize they're own loss of self control and project that onto every potential new player, to the point that it's better to shun new players than to give them an inkling of a chance to mingle with more experienced players, as referenced by the situation in Yelta_Sumasu's post above:

I don't care what they call it but I want a way to play my level 50 conjurer as a level 14 when playing with my new friends level 14 gladiator... When he dings 15 I will then be 15.

    Please make this happen SE.
