    Believe it or not, there are some people who enjoy grind parties and also those who enjoy helping their lower level friends and LS mates even without any ingame reward. I would much prefer level sync of some sort vs. afk powerleveling. I am sure that an intelligently designed level sync system could avoid whatever pitfalls the FFXI version had...

    PL them if you want to help them because it's really easy to level as is and if they're complaining they're just lazy. Level sync is just the path of least resistance thus people want it.
