and here that takes 3-6 months.. if you are lucky.. maybe 2 weeks is best i heard? and the reset takes place a few months back (So basically you are losing out of months work trying to get a restore here)
yup in alestorm's case, the person took damage before you can see it. One of 2 things happened:
Alestorm sees the person not moving (person on sever side is hit by aoe) > uses rescue > sees person take damage even though they are outside.
Alestorm sees the person not moving > uses rescue (person on sever side is hit by aoe while server did not process the rescue action yet> sees person take damage even though they are outside.
You can really see it with anything, dying while using LB, last second heals, last second dodging, GCD/ OGCD ability clipping, etc
Remember how you said people don't respond to you and I said it was from going off weird tangents making it hard to understand? This is a good example of that right here. Protect used to be gained naturally, Transient_Shadow is basically shown disagreement moving it to a cross action skill and poking at the idea, if the idea is to remove "button bloat" this is the first skill that should be removed completely. Protect has NOTHING to do with ... what.. you said here. It does not fit the situation at all, they only did that to shoe horn the cross job ability skills that was kept in the game just because 1.0 had it (like the stat system that was dropped in SB release) Now that we see role actions, attempting to keep thee system (my guess is they fear backlash from getting it rid of completely) well.. I have to say it is most likely a good time to examine the cross role system, giving jobs their own abilities and just drop the cross role class system completely. (healers being a DPS or PotD has NOTHING to do with this)
They can't make protect whm only otherwise that will just throw balance off and make whm too high in demand. it would be NICE as part as a lore/ tradition prospective, but a disaster game play wise. We also have some proof of this, It is clear as hell, esp with the release of SB, they have a ton of problems with balancing SCH and SMN. (when one is "op" in something, they change it, while harming the other more severely, in the case of SB, making SCH borderline unplayable) So with the problems they have with SCH and SMN in regards of trying to balance things, how in the heck do you expect them to balance the other 2 healers lacking protect? One will end up being too heavily favored in comparison to the other, it will be a nightmare balance wise.
