There's this whole contingent in this game that always comes back with "but you don't need alts" to which I respond "but I like having them, why does it offend you that I like having more than one character?"

This right here should really be addressed at this point. Looking at the recent ungarmax debacle, I doubt the dev team is even aware of exactly just how many times a bug has existed at one time or another (dating back all the way to the early days of ARR) which made it possible to add alts to your friendlist (the most recent example of which was widely spread on reddit only a few months ago).
There are so MANY people who have already achieved this that it really doesn't make any sense to continue to hold on to their current policy. The quality of life improvement for legitimate players far outweighs SE's silly perceived notion that they are some how preventing RMT activity with this restriction (they aren't at all). The fact the players are constantly looking for and exploiting bugs and then intentionally not reporting them in order to have such a basic QoL feature is something the dev team seriously needs to reflect on.
The first action in a macro not being queueable. I can understand the subsequent ones not being queuable, but not the first. They're our only way to attach open target specificity, and yet they're unable to be queued.
Also, not being able to click the terrain through units when placing ground AoEs.
Why is Esona a cross class ability when all 3 healers had a version of the same spell?
Also why does Rescue have a delay to it? Whenever I try and use it for the one person that loves to never move the delay ensures they still get hit by the ability I was trying to save them from.
Lastly: Why does beneficial spells like the mana transfer have a chance to either miss or be dodged by the target, go on cooldown AND burn the mana? Seriously....
Server ticks.
It is also the same reason why when placing all dots on a single target then Bane but the last dot placed does not transfer to the other ads. You need to use another skill before Bane or wait for server ticks to register it.
when you Benediction/Holmgang/Hallowed Ground/Living Dead but still die and your ability goes on CD.
Use Aetherflow but get no stacks.
(._______.) why?

Wow. Never seen that one except on Dark Knights, because Darkside makes them immune. That would be infuriating.
I'm going with Protect. The way it's implemented right now it's a dead slot unless you macro it. It's not interesting to use. It's that macro I push at the start of the instance because people expect it.

Why is using that slightly-off shade of white for certain dungeon drops still a thing? I get why they'd use it for dyeable gear (so we buy the pure white dyes from the Mog Station) but on undyeable gear it just makes it hard to colour match.

FFXIV is slow to response with everything, just you noticed it with that for some reason and not other things. It happens to all actions and movement though.
It is clear as day if you have someone else recording something from their view. If you remember how you are positioned at any given time, what they see will be off.
I was very sad to discover this when trying to have a choco race in South Gridania with a friend. We fought over who won, decided to record it, and lo and behold, we were both presented different winners.FFXIV is slow to response with everything, just you noticed it with that for some reason and not other things. and here that takes 3-6 months.. if you are lucky.. maybe 2 weeks is best i heard? and the reset takes place a few months back (So basically you are losing out of months work trying to get a restore here)Dex, Mind and Intellect Materia.
In WoW you can mail alts freely. I've never been mailed by, or heard a case of being mailed by, an RMT seller once in 7 years there. Stripping an account is rare and their customer service usually revert the damage within a day or two. There's no excuse tbh.
yup in alestorm's case, the person took damage before you can see it. One of 2 things happened:
Alestorm sees the person not moving (person on sever side is hit by aoe) > uses rescue > sees person take damage even though they are outside.
Alestorm sees the person not moving > uses rescue (person on sever side is hit by aoe while server did not process the rescue action yet> sees person take damage even though they are outside.
You can really see it with anything, dying while using LB, last second heals, last second dodging, GCD/ OGCD ability clipping, etc
Remember how you said people don't respond to you and I said it was from going off weird tangents making it hard to understand? This is a good example of that right here. Protect used to be gained naturally, Transient_Shadow is basically shown disagreement moving it to a cross action skill and poking at the idea, if the idea is to remove "button bloat" this is the first skill that should be removed completely. Protect has NOTHING to do with ... what.. you said here. It does not fit the situation at all, they only did that to shoe horn the cross job ability skills that was kept in the game just because 1.0 had it (like the stat system that was dropped in SB release) Now that we see role actions, attempting to keep thee system (my guess is they fear backlash from getting it rid of completely) well.. I have to say it is most likely a good time to examine the cross role system, giving jobs their own abilities and just drop the cross role class system completely. (healers being a DPS or PotD has NOTHING to do with this)It's still a thing because it's the only thing healers offer to a group that otherwise may as well be a bunch of DPS. See PotD. SE took half of WMH's kit and gave it to all the healers to simplify things and that had the opposite effect of giving the impression that all role actions were optional (including Esuna), even though it makes them available at all levels the Role action slot is available at.
They can't make protect whm only otherwise that will just throw balance off and make whm too high in demand. it would be NICE as part as a lore/ tradition prospective, but a disaster game play wise. We also have some proof of this, It is clear as hell, esp with the release of SB, they have a ton of problems with balancing SCH and SMN. (when one is "op" in something, they change it, while harming the other more severely, in the case of SB, making SCH borderline unplayable) So with the problems they have with SCH and SMN in regards of trying to balance things, how in the heck do you expect them to balance the other 2 healers lacking protect? One will end up being too heavily favored in comparison to the other, it will be a nightmare balance wise.I'd rather all three healers have had their own Esuna skill, and Protect being unique to WHM's skillset. Maybe AST could have got a version of Protect that was Dirunal/Nocturnal aspected, so Dirunal AST-protect acted like WHM's protect, but Nocturnal AST-protect acts like SCH's version, and SCH's version would be like the original cross-class version (eg without proshell.) Whoever has the more powerful version overwrites the weaker one.
