I just got word of this surplus with cutting experience gained. I bought the game, I am paying monthly to play it, and now SE is going to tell me how to play? this has just pretty much done it for me with this game.....when my time is done ill probably not reactivate. You cant just charge gamers for a game and then tell them how to play, we are gamers we all play the game our own way O.o.

Its a shame too cause I loved all the FF games man, I was hardcore into all of em, they had great game play great story lines and now ffxiv comes out and it like they lost they're way, really sad.....Final Fantasy USED to be one of the best game lines put out in my eyes.

ya but wait.... do y get less exp from enemies as you level? ie a lvl 1 beast gives you 150 exp when your lvl but then less when your lvl 2? cause thats what I am getting, shouldnt the exp gained from monsters stay the same?

It drops as you grow further in level away from the mob's.

Exp gain is calculated by taking your level minus the monster's level and multiplying the result by some modifier.

So yes, you will get less exp from killing the same monster as you level up. This happens so you can't level up just by killing stupid level 1 junk outside of town.

What? You went on a tantrum before even checking thoroughly the information?!
OK... piece of advice for next time, please ask on the forum for confirmation on how something works. You might be surprised!
Then, go experience it yourself if it's in the game.
Only after all that you are allowed throw a tantrum and /ragequit.
We don't want people to /ragequit for nothing. :S

Indeed you are right, I should have researched a little more and I apologize and thank you all for your advice
