Advice for Dragoons in O7S?

I joined a static that has just started work on O7S. I was doing pretty damn decent dps in O6S, but I'm especially worried about O7S, not only because of the mechanics in the fight but because I'm worried I won't be able to land the positionals (as in skill positionals).

Is there any advice that anyone can give a fellow dragoon?

Also: I calculated my dps on the dummy and it was around 5000.44, but really what does that matter lol

Performing positionals isn't really big issue in O7s, just anticipate when he's going to turn around and do Magitek Ray, prey missile and such. From what I've seen most dps (especially melee) have more problem maintaining uptime during certain mechanics like Biblio, Virus, forgetting to Arm's Length Shockwave, or just plain botching mechanics in general(such as forgetting about Atomic Ray in post-virus phase).
I suggest trying to make the most out of your oGCDs attacks (for this particular fight) and rotation in general first before polishing up positionals.
