Are you paying for ADDITIONAL services with your OWN money WILLINGLY and by agreeing to the TERMS OF SERVICE that SE has provided!?

If you answered yes towards any of that, then no, it's not the company's fault that you have such a loose control over your own wallet. I've been playing XIV for five years and only have two retainers on my main account and I've run into plenty of storage/inventory problems that I dealt with WITHOUT buying additional retainers. And why didn't I buy them, if you may ask? Because I actually place value in where my money goes which I guess isn't the case for you.
