Never had any issues of the sort. Normally it's quite fun and chatty.

Last time I done it a few were watching the cutscenes for the first time (having run it often enough as speedruns) and there were lots of comments of "oh so that's what happened there...I see" "Ahhhh well that makes sense. I always wondered how we end up here" We were even joking about how jarring it can be when someone up ahead in Castrum activates the cutscene for the final boss and you see your character walking through the doors. Only to jump back to the game and your miles away from the doors you just watched yourself walk through. The things you pick up on and have a laugh about. Anyway, point is, no toxic nature. I'd think anyone of that is either trolling or left because it's not like you don't know wat youre getting into.

I honestly cannot remember a MSQ run that wasn't speedrun back in the day. Quite frequently there were new sprouts but you don't really need a full group for MSQ anyway. I didn't mind the new sprouts watching the cutscenes, I was able to continue forwards while they watched so no problem there. Sure there were some bad apples in the group back then but now it's just ... every time I ran it it was toxic (I didn't ran it much after the change because no longer able to fly trough it but every single time it was toxic).

I play tank all the time for experts and I speedrun trough them and never ever has there been toxic in my group. And since the update I died 1 times in an expert dungeon (that was my fault actually), but a lot of times I get healers who're new to it or with low gear (the bare minimum) and they all kept me alive without ever failing, and a few times I also explained what the boss died for a few sprouts that actually asked it.
I just used my cool downs on the correct time.

What's it with people witch-hunting and prejudicing players that like to speed run? If you don't want speed runs then maybe ask SE to actually make the roulette challenging so that I'm no longer able to fly trough it?
If you have to kill 5 boars for a quest will you pull and kill one boar at a time or will you just pull 5 use your AoE and kill them all together and be 5 times faster as you would by taking them one on one?
If one boar is a challenge and can kill you then you pull one at a time. It's the same with dungeons.

There have been a lot of sprouts asking me to do more runs with them. Am I still toxic?

I am speaking as someone who runs this roulette regularly that- contrary to what the OP is saying- the /majority/ of the msq roulette runs are not at all hostile. It seems like this is the general consensus to those of us who still run this roulette often in this thread.

I may be rather new to the game compared to people who have been here for years, but in my experience, speed runs are the most toxic because if something sets back the group even a little, someone starts getting upset. The thing about MSQ roulette is that you gotta go in expecting new players- people who have never run this content before, some of which want to watch the cutscenes as they go through the dungeon the way it was intended without getting locked out of fights because someone who got to already see the cutscenes doesn't wanna wait for them. Going into roulette without expecting that you MIGHT get a new player and that you MIGHT not get to speed run it seems like a given to me, unless you have a full premade party going in.

Msq roulette seems less toxic people go in knowing it's not going to be a speed run. The people who think the exp is worth the time and their patience are there ones who queue up and therefore are (generally) more willing to help out newbies. I've seen friendships get made during chats in cutscenes, maybe a banter here and there about cid's hair, but never once in running MSQ roulette (again, almost every day) have I encountered players getting angry or frustrated with one another
On Primal, people tend to grumble about "omg why can't I skip" at the beginning, but the type of people you get range from "nobody says anything" to a comedy routine

(context, two players got left behind, and the one making the jokes is one of them)

The few times I have ran the MSQ roulette have been pretty chill and I haven't seen any of the rampant toxicity the OP is mentioning, if anything people are more laid back and make the occasional joke at Cid's expense, or mention what they are watching on Netflix on their other monitor.

Edit: to be honest, this is surprising, coming from Aether data center, which can be a little less than friendly at times!

The only "toxicity" I've seen was my co-tank complaining about the location of one of the scenes in Castrum Meridianum. Right at the start before turning off the search lights, they ran straight through to grab all the mobs like normal before the scenes were unskippable. They bit the dust the second the scene was over, but that was the only negative thing that was said, the rest of it was light hearted fun....and about how the lipstick is painted on the helmet of the final boss there...so does toxicity towards NPCs count?

It sounds like the OP may have been referring to player toxicity towards each other, but I may be wrong there. (And yeah I totally know the NPC you are referring to, have seen plenty of comments on their makeup skills! )
