People have more time to talk so they do. Being forced to do nothing causes it.

The second dungeon (can't remember the name) of MSQ Roulette gave me 4kk exp at level 66 so not to bad if you ask me. Usually eating during it since the fights only last 1-2 mins which isn't a problem when there is a 5+min cutscene afterwards.I'd say it affects both MSQ and Alliance Raid Roulette. Alliance Raids bring out the some of the worst players in terms of attitude and laziness. Where as MSQ just brings out irritated people. Though I wonder, if those people are so irritated by the MSQ, why run it with the new changes? Are the reward boosts worth it that much? Does it give like an absurd amount of XP or something?

I've only run MSQ roulette a couple of times since the changes & I've not experienced toxic behavior at all. Mostly it has just been silence. Not even a simple greeting. The times that there is chat activity it is infrequent & usually comments along the lines of the rewards are not worth the time or the silver lining of being able to do other stuff during the cutscenes.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
I cant say I have encountered toxic behaviour either. I don't do it that much anymore as it takes way too long for my liking, but most of time people are just quiet or you might get one or two people just casually chatting.

This is exactly what they're doing. Or they have only run it once since the changes were made. I've now run this at last 50-60 times since the cutscenes couldn't be skipped and have not seen ONE instance where people were hostile.

I run this roulette almost every day and it's been pretty laidback, if not silent. If people are talking, they're making jokes during the cutscenes and in general being quite friendly. I'm not sure why your runs haven't been the same.
I'll play whatever my party needs me to.
...except melee

I almost never run it anymore because forced cut scene but a few times I miss clicked it or help a friend, and I must say It's quite more toxic too.
Before the change you could speed run and be done with it in 20 mins, almost nobody talked and no toxic everybody was just focusing on the speedrun. But now while waiting quite frequently a fight happens, another annoying thing is that sometimes people go afk because those dreadfull cutscenes but they are still afk when the scene is over.

This seems to be more of a data center player base issue than an issue with the unskippable cutscenes. Looking from the comments from those who run MSQ roulette regularly in the Aether data center it seems like it's gotten less toxic over all.
I may be rather new to the game compared to people who have been here for years, but in my experience, speed runs are the most toxic because if something sets back the group even a little, someone starts getting upset. The thing about MSQ roulette is that you gotta go in expecting new players- people who have never run this content before, some of which want to watch the cutscenes as they go through the dungeon the way it was intended without getting locked out of fights because someone who got to already see the cutscenes doesn't wanna wait for them. Going into roulette without expecting that you MIGHT get a new player and that you MIGHT not get to speed run it seems like a given to me, unless you have a full premade party going in.
Msq roulette seems less toxic people go in knowing it's not going to be a speed run. The people who think the exp is worth the time and their patience are there ones who queue up and therefore are (generally) more willing to help out newbies. I've seen friendships get made during chats in cutscenes, maybe a banter here and there about cid's hair, but never once in running MSQ roulette (again, almost every day) have I encountered players getting angry or frustrated with one another

I'm also on the Chaos datacentre, ran it a few times (will potentially run it even more, but the forced cutscenes every time can get tiring), but I've seen no toxicity. Either quietness, general rants about the forced cutscenes, people talking about general stuff, etc. No toxic behaviour.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
