    Unable to complete version check

When I try to log in I get the error message
"Unable to complete version check. [30410][30607][10009][19900][12175]"

I'm using Windows 7 on a desktop PC, wired connection, and the only change that's happened on my end before this started happening was enabling TLS 1.1 and 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP because apparently some time ago they were disabled by default for Windows 7, while they're enabled by default for Windows 8 and 10.

As for everything I've tried to fix this so far, I restarted my computer. Restarted my router. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the game. Tried to log in with Antivirus and Firewall disabled. I was unable to get my PC to tether to my phone (something people have mentioned helps as a workaround for this type of error, so I'm still working on trying that) and I don't really want to mess around with the TLS/WinHTTP stuff again if I can avoid that, because as I pointed out I was just reverting that back to what was normal some time ago for Windows 7 and is currently normal for the other Windows versions, and it would probably involve editing the registry which is more of a last resort.

Edit: I got my phone to tether, and still have the same error message. I've also tried removing the FFXIV folder from Documents\My Games, connecting to a VPN, flushing DNS, changing FFXIV_BOOT.cfg's BootVersionCheckMode line from 0 to 1

I am also having this issue on my ps4 with the both same error codes of [11006][20645][-2147352571] that one and this one after corrupted data is found [20541] I did deleted the game not t he save data and reinstalled it and hope it may work, unfortunately it did not and which I had to change my password, second time after password is changed I deleted the game and the same data and reinstalled the game, in hope after everything is installed I tried to update the patch file and it was lasting much longer out there as I am at this right now still trying and still gives me the same error as mentioned, I do not know if this is caused by ffxiv's update or if its caused by sony's firmware 5.50 update.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Is this message instantaneous when you log in, or does the download start and then fail?

Here are a couple things to try:

Try resetting the router by turning it off, then on again.

Try a clean boot. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened/forwarded/triggered:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Your ISP may forward these ports for you.*

If the problem cam up after you changed those settings, it may be worth trying to change them back.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

So I tried everything, and before I tried removing the windows update in question I checked if the issue would happen on the other computer in the house using Windows 7. No problem, so I installed the update on it and tried again. Error message.

Here's the page about the update and the registry edit it requires. I noticed one of the registry entries in that section of the page is SSL 3.0 enabled by default, which you said to uncheck in IE settings. If there's a conflict it's probably there, but I'm not sure how to change the registry entries it added to change that and again, I'd rather not mess with the registry blindly.

Thank you for the update Glomoro.

To clarify, in the Internet Explorer settings, is SSL 3.0 checked? You shouldn't need to change any registry files, only the Explorer settings.

Yeah, I had checked Internet Explorer a couple of times to make sure SSL 3.0 was unchecked, uninstalling and reinstalling that update didn't even seem to touch that. I'm probably going to have a new PC soon anyway so I'll probably just let the last couple of days on my sub run out for now and get back to the game after then.
