map marker

Is there anyway that the development team can add marker function for players who found the mining spot and able to mark that spot on the map? same as botanist. I think be able to mark mining/botany spots on the map will help player to find in the future. Anyways, just hope to see this function for the future.

They said they going to add Markers but they don't have a date for it yet. I mean even if you could mark the mining you still have to use your JA to get the right one that working for you.

yea, you still have to use your job ability to find the right direction for the spot but with the mark on the map it'll helps player to find it easier b/c sometimes it's hard to find the sparkles if you are face the different angle.

I despise the idea of a marker system. Part of the charm (minigame) of miner is to use the ability to "sense" a node and hunt it down, then play the "hot and cold" minigame to mine the items. This idea is one more step to a pathetic easy mod for an already overly easy DoH. This idea goes against the spirit of minings original concept, which was actually a good one, and the class and its ability to do its job is great right now, without bad ideas like this.

Once you find a node I think you should be able to manually mark it on your own map. We do this now on paper anyway. I would be against the game automatically giving you all the markers.

Yes, that's actually what I would like to see in this game to manually mark you own map and also add information on the mark. Be able to put information on the map helps player jog down what level/type of the mob is in that area etc... I think ffxi was able to add mark in their map manually but not sure why ffxiv didn't have it in the beginning.

Would be a great idea for marking camps for players coming up through the system.
