Humble Request: Add Story (a.k.a. Easy) Mode

I just want to find a way to experience and explore this content intended for groups, without the rush that comes from playing content with a group. I do not want to inconvenience other people while I attempt to explore and take in the beauty/lore of the content made for this great game. I'm still new to this game and still learning all the features, so hopefully something like this exists outside of "clear the content/dungeon first then go back and experience it later or watch a cutscene from your bedroom" -_-

Because how dare you hold up the time of 3 other players. But you also can't have those parts of the MSQ be solo. Oh no, you have to group and you *will* play the way others expect you to or you should understand they'll "call you out" on having your own preferences.

I've been rallying for years that MSQ should be solo. Dungeons can be optional group content. Then those who enjoy dungeons are in there with like-minded people who want to be there, and those who don't want to be there still get to enjoy the story.

This would only get people who like the story but hate dungeon out of the dungeons. Those left would be far from like-minded. There would be the people that enjoy the story and enjoy dungeons. Then their would be those who just want their reward for running it. The in and out, wham, bam, thank you Tam types, who complain about people watching cut scenes. This would just reduce the number of people doing dungeons, and skew it towards people who don't enjoy the story.

You should watch the cutscenes as they happen. Aside from two specific dungeons where they're no longer skippable, they rarely tie people up for very long and you only get to do it for the first time once.

For exploration, you can actually use the Return teleport command to go back to the start of the dungeon after it's over, and everything's dead so you can explore at your leisure without making anyone wait. At high level you can just queue solo and blow everything up in most of them, too.

This is not a game where everything is meant to be done solo.

This would be exactly what I need then, except for the cases (which is pretty typical) where the group blasts past large groups of enemies. I didn't realize I could teleport back to the start though, I'll be using this after work tonight many many thanks

And yeah I'm not against group content, this is an MMO afterall and that would just be...odd lol. However I am a gamer, and I like to enjoy the game. Equal parts going into content to burn through for experience or loot, and going into content and calmly taking it all in enjoying the experience.

The only thing to be aware of in this situation is that you only get 5-10m in the dungeon after the boss is cleared to explore. I know this because I went back to explore Kugane Castle the first time, and also my friend likes to take a lot of gpose screenshots of LB3s at the end of fights and she sometimes gets kicked out in the middle of them.

Anything in the story that is remotely difficult (few and far between) either already has or will get nerfed into the ground anyway (see Steps of Faith, Garuda normal, etc).

Some solo instances can be difficult but they eventually give you up to 100% echo if you fail them enough times, and at that point they usually become a breeze.

That's how I read the books in places like Gubal Library. Takes a while, there is a lot of them.

One thing to keep in mind, I think you only have about 5 minute before you are auto-booted.

It really is a shame that we have no decent way to actually explore the dungeons at a slower pace. They pack so many cool things into those places, and we all run by without a moment to spare. I'd also love to have the option to roam dungeons for screenshots. Easy to do unsycned for lower dungeons - not so much on current ones.
