Thread: Proper Start to Version 2.0

This is my first post. Since the inception of payed subscriptions and the up & coming, highly anticipated, long awaited Version 2.0, I think we should start it off right. Many of us have invested a great deal into our characters in the year of free play that we've had, and a number of us continue to play even with the payed subscription thanks to doing away with (or at least providing a loophole for) the unnecessarily complicated nightmare of a payment system that is Click & Buy by adding direct billing.

But now that this is a paid service, now that my character is finite, and now that I have exclusive things that will become unobtainable in future patches of what I hope will be a long-lasting and highly entertaining adventure, I find myself increasingly dissatisfied with the permanence of what will now be my paid character. I think with the new version 2.0, those with paid subscription, or upon reactivating characters in the future, it might be beneficial to be offered a second chance at a fresh start, to recreate our characters appearance, gender, and race. Granted, I'll likely remain a Duskwight Elezen, but certain features I would jump at the chance to change, especially if character customization receives any reconsideration in the future.

Perhaps an NPC, an extensive questline, or a reasonable real-money transaction could enable us to modify our physical appearance, race, gender, clan, and surnames (I choose only surnames as some of them are assigned from character transfers). It's not like I'm going to cancel my subscription, but I would very much like the chance to be thoroughly satisfied with a character I am now paying for. Something to consider.

Thanks for the quick reference. I hadn't seen this before but I'll be more thorough in my searches in the future. Glad to see I'm not the only person on this petition.
