    720p resolution is broken

So, i don't have the best computer. And FFXIV isn't the most well-optimised game. So i tried to play in 720p so i could turn the other settings up, but immediately i encountered two issues.

First, the bottom of the screen gets cut off.

More importantly, button collision gets completely screwed in 720p. In order for the game to register that my mouse is over a button, i have to move my cursor X distance above it. Moving my mouse over the button doesn't work.

What's weird is that it looks completely normal when recorded by Nvidia's recorder. When recorded, nothing is cut off and collision LOOKS fine. But not on my screen.

Quick addition, I've checked it on another computer and it has the exact same issue.

You do realize that your monitor must be compatible and set up properly for that right? Need to make sure driver is up to date and refresh rate is also acceptable. I have a wide curved HD monitor and no issues. If your using a recorder and looks fine that usually means your monitor setting ( outside of game ) are not set up properly, a driver is crashing, or the graphic card setting is not adjusted properly with game settings.

The cut off usually means the settings outside of the game may not be set up properly or a driver issue. Experiment with window mode instead of full screen. Also make sure to check your Direct X is properly set up and matches game settings. That helps a lot also.

What do you mean by DirectX not being properly set up? Also, i might try running 720p in DX9 mode, now i think about it. But yeah, i have a 1080p monitor, not curved, and it has this issue. I'll take a look at the monitor settings for Windows and see if there's an issue.

Okay, i have a solid idea of the issue. The game does indeed run correctly at 720p in DirectX 9 mode. So like you said, it's possible my DirectX settings are screwed up. How exactly do i check? I've never had to manually modify my DirectX settings before.
