I remember in 1.0 they had visible belts but now belts do not show up on a character. Would it be possible to add them back in the game for more customization?

Would be awesome but they would have to redesign ALL their current gear that would be affected by it. I don't see it happening this far into the game.
kinda like how i spent hours grinding for dreadwrmy jewelry - only to find out they don't render on dreadwrym armor gear?
Yeaaah...good times.
no, it had to do with limitations with putting belts in the new game, like how to I explain this correctly..
They said something along the lines it was too hard graphically to show all the belts with the different armor, so all belts where added to shirts. (You can clearly see that on some more then others, like the sailor shirt)
So unlikely going to happen, it was one of the 1.0> 2.0 changes (neglecting the fact you do have "visible belts", they attached them to the body armor looks)

They say that visible different belts limit the gear design, so they make the belts invisible and add the belt graphic to the gear design. It skip the process to check the body gear graphic with every belt ingame.no, it had to do with limitations with putting belts in the new game, like how to I explain this correctly..

Strange. I'd never seen that complaint in the years I played 1.x. Were that the case, the solution would be much simpler -- /showbelt, much like /showhelm. Done.
I had heard that one's belt of (stat) choice didn't necessarily fit with its surrounding gear, whereas -- apart from said belts -- the value of item level and the scarcity of gear was enough to ensure that BiS sets were almost always a single gear set, and therefore worked together aesthetically. This was also the reason Yoshida gave for combining belt graphics to chest pieces. However, with the implementation of glamour, that issue, too, would be obsolete.

Only - and really: only! - if we get a toogle to turn them on and off or an emporers new belt to make them disappear.
I understand the idea of more customization and wanting a belt, but if I look at most gear, it simply wouldnt fit.
A belt to go with your Thavnair Autum Dress?
A belt over your Skalla coat?
A belt showing while you're in a bikini?
...yeah... please no...
Personally I dont think I'd ever make use of a visible belt - all the gear is designed without one in mind and that shows.
I'd rather resource went into more character creation options.
No belts don't bother me at all.
Honestly, I'd rather they removed belts from the game, redistributed their stats across other gear as necessary, and use that added slot for a different kind of visible gear. A "headwear" slot so you can have a hat and glasses at the same time, maybe. It could be purely for glamour but I think it'd be more useful than an invisible gear slot that has extremely low stat value.
