


This is true, I prolly should have clarified that. It really only applies to Paladins at higher levels, and I always just lump shields in as "weapons" for them anyway.I'm not actually sure... but I always assumed this is only if you don't have an offhand equipped? I.e. if there's nothing in your offhand, then the offhand slot is treated as having an item with the same ilvl as your main hand effectively counting it twice. But if you have something equipped in your offhand (e.g. a paladin, conjurer, or thaumaturge with a shield) then it uses that item's ilevel and only counts the main hand once.
I'm not able to test right now, but maybe I will once I can log in again tomorrow.
