    Average ilvl not calculating right?

Hey guys, I'm wondering if I'm missing something with my ilvl. I'm gearing up my SAM to run O7S and O8S and I'm currently equipped with a full set of Carborundum gear, my second ring is a mendacity ring (360) and an augmented Lost Allagan weapon (340). This combo should give me exactly a 350 average ilvl but it's only 349. Why is this? It's not an issue to spend some mendacity on another accessory, but I'm trying use those to finish gearing up my PLD.

    Thanks guys!

Weapons are weighted double for ilvl calculations.

I'm not actually sure... but I always assumed this is only if you don't have an offhand equipped? I.e. if there's nothing in your offhand, then the offhand slot is treated as having an item with the same ilvl as your main hand effectively counting it twice. But if you have something equipped in your offhand (e.g. a paladin, conjurer, or thaumaturge with a shield) then it uses that item's ilevel and only counts the main hand once.

I'm not able to test right now, but maybe I will once I can log in again tomorrow.

This is true, I prolly should have clarified that. It really only applies to Paladins at higher levels, and I always just lump shields in as "weapons" for them anyway.

GLA/PLD, one-Handed CNJ, and one-handed THM weapons always only count once because it assumes you will be using a shield, whether you are or not.
All two-handed weapons and weapons for any class/job other than those will always count twice.

The divisor will always be 13.

...if you want to run O7S and OS8 and not the normal modes of those fights, you should really consider replacing your weapon with a Byakko one though. Or at least a crafted 350. Or the relic. Just something thats higher than 340 - your weapon is your most important piece of gear and reaching the ilvl for this sort of content by using higher level accessories to balance out a below-ilvl weapon is always a bit meh... no ring will ever contribute as much to your damage as your weapon will.

Totally makes sense. I was actually looking at the Byakko weapon over the weekend. I'll start working toward that before running this stuff. Thanks!
